'Betrayed' BJP pulls out of Karntaka govt
by R Balasubramanian on Oct 06, 2007 01:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is better to have `MILITARY RULE' in India for a term of at least 5 years so that these corrupt elements can be contained. Earlier Britishers made us their slave. Almost same kind of slavery is going on still now.

I may not agree with you fully here, but I agree the message. For country like India, democracy is a liability. Democracy requires a people with education and above all maturity. I am afraid, our politicians lack both.

bjp should introspect
by ravi kumar on Oct 06, 2007 01:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

the bjp should introspect why their allies ditch them time and again. the list is long .
aiadmk , tdp. jds, shiv sena ( nearly gone ) dmk , akali's ( once left and returned to their fold) chauthala.
the bjp should realise they cannot sing one tune to satisfy the rss and vhp , and another secular tune to satisfy their allies.

bjp should introspect and fine tune their policies. as it is they cannot come to power on their own.

they will loose seats in gujarat and MP , due to anti - incumbency factor .

south is a whitewash for the bjp especially karnataka where fresh elections will throw up a congress/ jds combine.

kerala is foregone conclusion.

they will loose seats in rajasthan thanks to the gujjar problem.

so what do they have.

The BJP should set an example and follow the examle of Rama and Krishna, and should never give up principles for power.

It is character that is more important and everlasting than anything else, and history teaches this again and again.

Boss, whether it is BJP or Cong, they should get majority to form the government. There should not be fractured verdict as otherwise public money is wasted in repeated elections.

Cong Saved
by shekhar@asthana.com on Oct 06, 2007 01:09 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress was saved from this very situation in J&K when PDP was reluctant ion transferring Power. We saw the similar situation in UP also when Maya the Devil Lady refused to handover the reign after half term. Poor BJP was at the recieving end there too. God Bless the party with difference.......

Well, knowing fully well why BJP is supporting the very parties which call themselves as secularists. BJP should have learned their lesson from Mayavati and should not have gone ahead with JD(S). Now Venkaiah comes and tell us that they are learning lessons. What lessons, this is costing exchequer heavily and common man is paying for.

Well, the problem in Karnataka is Gowda supports Gowda, Linga supports Linga, Muslim supports Muslim and few Hindus support BJP. And rest undecided support Congress. You can expect another fractured verdict. This is not only the problem in Karnataka, it is a problem everywhere. Possibly the exception is West Bengal and Tamil Nadu where consistantly you can expect single party to get majority. Quite unfotunate situation.

Good sense prevails BJP !!

Good to hear this news.. Lets hope for fresh elections. In the 1st place, it was stupid to even think of trusting Deve Gowda & his land grabbing family. BJP lost face once by aligning with SR Bommai in the recent past and did the same mistake with HD Kumaraswamy.

Gowda family is like bottomless vessel. No amount of wealth aquiring will satify this creatures. They are the kind of creatures can go any any extent for power and money.

The most corrupt people that this state has ever seen.

It is unfortunate that people keep voting for these creatures time and agin.

Its high time that, people of Karnataka show them the door and give BJP abosolute majority.

Congress with Dharmasigh Govt. will again be

big disaster.

BJP Betrayed
by NuraniEaswran subhramaniyam on Oct 06, 2007 01:05 PM  Permalink

It would have been a surprise only if Kumaraswamy had transferred power after tasting it.It was known that this will happen but both the parties went into this as this was a matter of convenience at that time for both.

JD ( S) should be routed in karnataka
by Veeraragavan Prakash on Oct 06, 2007 01:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

an Ex- PM of a nation like ours acting so low. First they should have transferred the power and watched 3 to 4 months how BJP is ruling instead of telling al types of ies and stories. JDS is third rate party and nobody should vote for them. They only want power . Congress whould learn a lesson from them and should not support them. Useless bunch of fools. Election commissioner should see that JD(s) conduct election from their own money rather using tax payers money . If I have power I will dis-qualify this party permanently to get peace in Karnataka

BJP supported Gowda to throw out congress. Where were you that time??? According to Indian Politics, all is fair to be a part of power. Even you can forsee a situation where BJP & Congress not voting against gowda to ensure they dont face polls.!!!!
Gratitude returned to BJP. Can BJP now talk sence instead of only accusations & concentrate building up party on some decipline & morality??
