I am from bangalore, I am not a kannadiga, but am living here for almost 10yrs. to begin, Bangalore is a nice place.Generally people here are very warm and nice. I have never seen the politics here as hot as the other states in India. Generally here people doesn't bother much, Just work and Enjoy. as far as BJP, JD(s) and Cong all are bad like other states in india. But one thing we must accept, there was decent of development work happened during SM Krishna regime, he is not great, but compared to all other people, he is good.at present jd(s) looted the state - mindblowing scams...CM's KID owns harleydavidson and soo many cars - which includes Hummer also :) just imagine....these people call themselves as "Farmers' Son" .....now kumaraswamy started talking how to trust BJP...they are communal and all......like father i guess he also slept for 20months and now suddenly realised BJP is bad ......and one heart reakng example....Karnataka is rich in Iron ore especially sandur and bellary lot of minning activity happens. I had a chance to visit those places part of my official trip....if u want to see a place without any basic facilities and infrastructure, u must visit that place.....people live like slaves.....one example....outside JD(s) and BJP is fighting rite, in the mining belt - most of the BJP and JD(S) mlas and MPs are own brothers and they all same family....its all money, I was shocked to see that place.bangalore and sandur, bellary all are part of karanat

The views expressed by you are absolutely right. I have been following the state politics from 1980, when Devraj Urs was the Chief Minister. He was pulled down and Gundu Rao has taken over. After that Rama Krishna Hegde single handedly fougfht the elections and defeated the corrupt congress. From the day Rama Krishna Hedge, Deva Gowda has been plotting to dethrone him and usurp the power.
Deva Gowda had played many political games and mischeif to remove Rama Krishna Hegde. Deva Gowda and his family is only interested in amassing the wealth through corrupt means. He will go to any extent to retain power and amass wealth - if required he will join hands with Pakistani and Bangladesh terrorists.
In 1996 through manipulative politics - Communist Party has imposed Deva Gowda as PM of India. During his term of 9 months, did he do any single good thing which has benifited common man. No. He was sleeping and amass wealth for his next 100 generations.
Now he talks about saffron party, then why did he agreed to form government 20 months ago? Is he insane or blind for the last 20 months. It will not be a surprise if Congress party supports Deva Gowda party to continue the minority government. Deva Gowda is a shame less buffoon and he will join hands wityh anyone for power.
It is high time common man give a fitting reply to these crooks in the next election.
Only a person who strives for the growth and development of the State and Nation should be elected as leaders.

I accept to ur comments and I am born and bought-up in Karnataka. But u r wrong wrt SM krishna. It was JH patel who started the development works and krishna had the courage to finish it. Thats it. But credit goes to both though more to JH patel govt before SM krishna. Anyways, these days its highly untolerable politics. None of the party are good but considering the agreement and ethics logic, jds must have transferred power onto BJP. BJP largest single party that won the election. jds again teaming up with congress will be calling upon their end in Karnataka. We dont want another election and burden our own State finance reserves. jds will pay heavily for this, I bet on this. Anyways, I am sure they have a alternative.
Krishna was more urbane and sophisticated. But at a fundamental level he did nothing for Karnataka. took good care of himself and is famliy. Congress has always exploited Karnataka - let us remember indira gandhi - Chikmagalur and sonia gandi - bellary.

Idiot Lingayats in Karnataka are more progressive compared to Gowdas. See the amount they have spent on Educational Sector in Karnataka & their participation in Industry - what is Gowdas contribution. Only getting involved in scams & land grabbing. Your so called PM was on roads & was given a life line by the then CM R.K. Hegde & his name did not even appear in the Karnataka Rajyotsava ceremony in the list of past CMs of the State. This is what your ex PM is capable. All his life he was, is & will be No. 1 Cheater !!! Shame on You !!! If you see the CMS of Karnataka - the State has made progress only in the regime of Lingayat & Brahmin CMs certainly not Gowdas.

Look guys...for the sake of all Kannadiga's dodo's, pls look at the facts: Analyze at all the Lingayats or Brahmins...some rich, mostly poor.
What education and social obligations? We have done great service. Only our Vokkalingara Sangha led capitation-fee based medical and engineering colleges rake in Millions per month.
None of you have a muslim vote bank to reply on... Even our canny cousins in Cong-I are lost. Our Deve (God-like) Gowda commands all the Muslims and SC/STs respect...
Yedi is a Lingayat....so we can't let him become CM Ananth Kumar is a Brahmin..so it is impossible to let him be CM Karge is a SC...so we will not let him be a CM So you see, on one except our own Gowda is qualified!
BTW, talking about iron ore or land, you need to know that we initially made our millions from all the gifts our family received (kickbacks)..we work hard...Deve Gowda works 24/7... Only recently we have grabbed all those huge tracts of land near the New Blr airport or Mysore rd or started exporting all the Bellary iron ore.
Bihari Laloo is our well wisher %u2018cause, like him Gowda's are honest and a hardworking caste. Which is why the great Kannadigas vote for us. Even without all the arrack or pseudo promises or tamasha's.

Election Commission and Supreme Court must come with some policies for these politician 1. For any mid-term elections expenses should be done by these politician. 2. No coalition agreement. If it does also then make agreement of stamp paper and whoever breech it should face punishment under IPC 302 - hang till death (it may be little high from my side tough :)) 3. Somehow if government doesn't go for complete term then President Rule but no election please.

oh really, see the pathetic state of the flyovers constructed during his regime, best example is hebbal flyover, he knows international airport is going to come, then why the hell they have constrcuted such a narrow flyover, see chennai they are coming with 6 lanes flying highways....since i live on bellary road, everyday i have to hebbal flyover....i know how much people suffer

Kumaravel its not only hebbal flyover,take Richmond flyover its waste u cannot find a flyover in this world with a traffic signal at the mid of the flyover. with out proper roads he brought IT sectors here and made everyone to suffer in traffic.
Deve Gowda only fooling minority people. He wants only his son to be the C.M. of Karnataka. He never allows any person from minority community to become the C.M. of Karnataka. He is fooling everybody since Devaraj Urs time. Now the People of Karnataka should act properly. Otherwise there is no future for Karnataka.

What a joke. SM Krishna did nothing except talking. That was why he lost in the last elections.
Along wit Tamil Nadu, Karnataka has the most mediocre leadership (JDS/congress/dmk/admk et.al).
BJP is the way to go. While the coastal fellows (Tuluvas, konkanis) hill people (kodagus) and northerners (lingayats) realise this south karnatakans (gowdas) seem to be a little lukewarm.

JD in Karnataka is moving to death soon, my friend. Most major groups except Vokkaliga's (Gowda caste, which still has some significant %) have consolidated behind BJP and Congress. Gowda and family are the only thing keeping the party from folding up...all the leaders are gone, Ramakrishna Hedge, JH Patel and so forth. God willing Karnataka becomes a two-party state in the next elections and people like Gowda can no longer manipulate the state's administration with his MLA power

Lot of bongs have landed up in Namma Bangaluru and are saying that Bangaluru is derived from Bangla.
Eventhough Iam not the supporter of JDS, I had a good respect for Kumaraswami. But like his father he also came out with double headed. This time people of Karnataka will teach them a lesson. Governor should dismiss the Government immidietly and impose President rule. At any cost Floor test shouldnot be allowed, it leads to Horse trading. Any news channel or any news paper should go for Public opinion on this.
Another Election - these polatician do not have any business and work - except fooling the people. Roads are in bad condition, no appoinments in Colleges and school, no work is going on in Government offices, currouption every where. Still, the state is going on - it is not by these wicked polaticians, but due to coomon man and women who toil their life sicerely. Crores of rupees and precious time of the people once again going for fresh election. It is mockary of Democracy. This is not Democracy - simply crazy. Oh, god save us from these polaticians. But God may also play dice!!
