Allah says in His Quran: "Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth has been made clear from error. Whoever rejects false worship and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that never breaks. And Allah hears and knows all things." [Surah al-Baqarah: 256]
It is not only forbidden to compel someone to accept Islam - it is impossible to do so.
Please consider the meaning of the word"Islam" before continuing to read: ['Islam'; Ar. from the root 'slm' (silm), to be in peaceful submission; to surrender; to obey; peace; "Islam" lit. 'The active willful surrender, submission, obedience, in purity to the will of another (Allah) in complete peace.']
The understanding from the meaning of the word "Islam" itself makes it clear that there is no way that you could possibly force someone to do something that requires them to do it of their own free will and accord. If someone were "forced to enter Islam" then it would not be "Islam" anyway, as a condition of "Islam" is that it is by free choice in peace. Forcing people into Islam is totally illogical and certainly not acceptable in concept nor practice

Farid bhai, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS, what Islam means and what it teaches is irrelevant. THE ACTIONS OF THE MUSLIMS CAN NEVER CONVINCE ANYONE THAT ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF PEACE, STOP BEING POLITICALLY CORRECT. ISLAM WAS NEVER A RELIGION OF PEACE
Tough laws should be brought up against terrorists and the ones supporting them. Government is busy preparing and attending the talks about the polls. Peoples lives and security is the first priority for any govt., LAWS AGAINST ANTI-SOCIAL ELEMENTS SHOULD BE BROUGHT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Since the advent of mankind God has sent prophets to Guide humanity with the message to worship God alone without any partners muhammad was a true prophet of God with the same message. he didnot ask people to worship him, but called people to worship one and only God and submit to him in peace and sincerity

Mr piyush, donot base your observation on action of some muslims. islam is a true religion of God, you need to study islam from authentic sources ie Quran and the life of prophet. I challenge you if you read Quran your life will not be same again. the basic message of islam is God is one and only worship him alone an submit to him in peace and sincerity

neither the hindus nor the hindu gurus are ignorant and hate islam.Its just that every1 hates terrorists. Not all muslims r terrorists but y is it so the most of the terrorists r muslims?If hindus wud hav hated islam it wud hav been wiped out of India by now. Ask those pakistani,israeli, and other islamis countries muslims who hate each other in the name of Shia n Sunni n mohajirs. Obviously Shankaracharya respects every religion like a learned person coz he knows that there is only 1 GOD n we just call him by different names bcoz of our different origins. do some homework before making a statement and dont hav this mentality that hindus,christians or any other religion person hates muslims.
