Nuclear Deal with US a Fiasco or a live Bomb which Left will detonate
by Raj rai on Oct 04, 2007 08:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have my reservations about Left parties understanding the pros & cons of the deal.Karat and party are uttering all kinds of excuses to continue support to Congress but I am sure they will pull the rug out of Congress feet at a moment when it will be most embarassing for India.
Possibly they are trying to gain out some deals in their favour by using the "support" as a blackmailing tool.
I am still wondering that Congress Chief has very confidently mentioned that Left will not try any stunt at the last moment then why are they wasting time & energy of the media and public if Congress has reached an inside agreement with Karat & party .This seems very logical after hearing the comments of sonia at Newyork.

Dont think that LEFT will make the Govt fall down so soon. First they have to contact their bosses in China, who seems to have agreed to India specific safeguards that the US wants in this agreement. So now LEFT is in a fix. Their Masters have betrayed them, and they seem to oppose this agreement now more than their masters. Also the elections will not even let LEFT have crumbs to lick, thats for sure.

LEFT can only oppose, do they have alternate plans...NO, instead they have some very confusing figures which are unscientifically based. They say we have thousand years of coal reserves, that we have very good Hydro and Solar potential. Now can they tell us how much money and efforts will be needed to develop them and from where they have got this information of 1000 years of coal reserves?
