The people of karanataka never wanted BJP to come to power and Kumarswamy will never hand over the power to BJP. The entire kannadigas in karnataka are behind him and they support him as CM. You don't know politics and you don't know what people of karanataka want.

Here are some questions that I as a Citizen of India needs to know where these parties stand.
- What is the role of government as defined by the Indian Constitution ? - What is your strategic Objective w.r.t. Kashmir ? - What is your plan to achieve that Objective ? - What is your strategic Objective w.r.t. the North-East (Assam, Nagaland, etc)? - What is your plan to achieve that Objective ? - What is your plan to control/stop the influx of Bangladeshis into India ? - What is your fiscal policy ? (Taxes and spending) - What is your plan for Infrastructure development ? What role will the government play and what is the role of the private sector ? - How do you plan to ensure that the energy demands of this growing nation are met ? - What is your plan to bring accountability in the government ? This includes tranactional transperancy, accounting and expenditure details made available to the public. - What is your strategic goal w.r.t. reservations and the quota system ?
Appreciate if these questions are answered before you come to ask for our votes.

Well friend I agree, but we have to first vote out parties which have already proven thier incompetence, then demand the following from the party in power.
We should (public opinion, i.e. opinon directly from the masses) as you said be a force to reckon with and try and extract all the work done from the government.
RE:Party supporters of Congress and BJP please answer few questions...
by imran patel on Oct 04, 2007 08:42 PM Permalink
When deciding on a candidate there are certain things we have to consider... - Is he/she a strategic thinker (Visionary) ? - Why is he/she in Politics/Public Service ? - If he/she was not a Politicians, what would he/she be doing in life ? - What kind of a bankground is he coming from ? (Corruption, educational, job experience, world knowledge) - What plans does he have to achieve his GOALS ?
We have had too many politicians that promised us the MOON but did not even deliver a bulb.
We have to raise the standard of expectation now. I do not mind which party the candidate represents. We are NOT voting for the PARTY. We are voting for the candidate. If he/she does not share your views/vision, you show him the door.
We are selecting candidates based on their party alliances, not based on the Candidate. We need to change that. We cannot hold a party accountable. But we can hold a candidate accountable.

Only one, every one else in the fray have proven thier incompetence. Let BJP come to power once and let us see their performance.
You have not clarified one thing though, Congress has ruled Mother India for 5 decades, but still has not uplifted the masses. How many more decades do they need?

BJP believes in classes because of RSS and RSS will never give up control over BJP. So the real difference is if BJP had ruled india for 50 years instead of Congress is that in case of BJP the country would have progressed as much if not better and only certain class of people would have become really realy rich and knowledgeable and the rest of the society ( read 75% ) would have gone to dogs. With Congress the country is not as much as it could have been but every one can participate. WHY DO YOU THINK CONGRESS IS STILL WINNING?
Most people do appreciate BJP ( Even I do though I keep fighting on this fourm ) but because of BJP's hardline hindutva ( class war more than hindutva ) almost everyone is scared of voting BJP , dont consider this opinion as mine... Instead go talk to the downtrodden section of the society their answers will stun you.
Just check the whole of tamil nadu is converting to christianity and in Kerla the Church already controls the governament , Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh will follow suite.......
Know why I support Congress? ( Iam a Hindu and there are many hindus like me who support congress )
RE:Can anyone....?
by The Confused Orient on Oct 05, 2007 06:27 AM Permalink
Well I would only say, its Mayavati, Mulayam, and Congress and co who are more known to woo poeple based on caste.
May be you stay in some International space station (pun intended, no offense meant), we live here, I have seen what goes on in Mandya, the tug of war or rather bad blood b/w DK Shi and HDK, Deve Gowda sons Vs other Congress thugs, its a bad bloody tussle. These poeple unforunately never pick up pages of morality from great stalwarts like Sardar PAtel, Lal Bahadur Shastri etc.
Moraji Desai and Chandra Shekar were good to some extent but they were mis-fits in petty politics.
Only with my closed ears and eyes I can accept what has happened to date.
Well I agree, the ideal National party which I thought was Jan Sangh, but it died with the loss of core principles.
PS: One note, as a kid, I went to RSS for 5-6 years to play games 1 hour each day, what we were taught was ONY indian culture, no-fuss games, in the RSS Head quarters of Bangalore I NEVER EVER saw even a single political pawn. It happens to some extent in Delhi but I do not know the in-house details there. If you follow the life of Hedgewar am sure you will certainly appreciate his message atleast. Infact lot of RSS PRacharaks accuse and abuse some stalarts of BJP for playing petty politics. It is because of some stray thugs here and there who spoil the complete image, after all as CHO Ramaswamy says [he is no supporter either] its a fashion to abuse RSS and BJP, because today, AntiBJP/RSS
Hope this goes well ith you GSB, its not about my view Vs yours. If our kids atleast have to enjoy good governance, WE should initiate the necassary changes like ...
1) NO post-poll moves 2) FROZEN Manifesto (Commitments) 3) Non governamental evaluation i.e. scorecard gainst promises made/kept etc 4) Absolutely NO criminal record. 5) NO to Nepotism

Dear Confused here is my reply
When India got independence it was really in a sad state just to put a administration in place and to form the indian union was a tough ask just google for post independence struggles you will know. Then there were three wars with pakistan and one with china which was really tough on India but through a seris of attempts Congress has solved this Ieve listed it below.
1. Number of 5 year plans. 2. Setting up of IIT's / IIM's. 3. Funding Scientific research. 4. Giving equal representation for all classes of society ( BJP will never do this ). 5. Setting up of PSU's. 6. Thrust on Industries. 7. Establishing the basic health care system. 8. And the Economic Reforms by Manmohan Singh which eventually took India forward.
Dude you can argue about point 4 but think about it BJP is controlled by RSS.
Iam not telling you that what ever congress has done is highly refined, there are lot of flaws but systemic flaws can be found even in developed countries.
By sheer luck the Internet became widespread when BJP came to power around 1997 that is because of this IT and BPO got a tremendous boost for which BJP claims the credit, but it is really because of American Universities / Millitary which funded the invention of internet.
I do agree that there are Intellectuals in BJP with high qualification for example Murali Manohar Joshi ( Phd in Spectroscopy ) but what is the use they are all focusing on the wrong issues and the BJP's infighting. ...Continued

Great thinkers and world movers like Sardar patel, Shastri, Rajaji were also around then, but ever since Indira came [she made some good moves], but she institutanalised corruption that hurt India in many ways. When Congress(I) was formed, the way politics was run changed dramatically and no to forget what VP singh did, doing something for the minorities and the backward communities is not all about reservation alone. I agree reservation, is required, but it should be applied smartly.
When a slum dweller is highly unlikely even to go to school [we have atleast 300million such people] reservation in IIT's, IIMs etc does not mean to them, let alone that, any form of reservation, free medication does not help.
We as citizens should moot some changes. I wonder how you claim these credits for congress, any way I leave at that, at least am convinced they do not deserve to come to power, for they have had enough oppurtunities.

Congress should be dissolved first. That is what Gandhi wanted. They have lived long enough on the punya gained by the freedom fighters. Now they have to suffer for the sins committed in the past six decades.

In case you are interviewing 3 candidates.
1 has been selected many times before, has worked for 45plus years without being productive.
Other had also been selected before, has done more harm than good.
Now we are left with the last, untested candidate. Logically I feel it is not about our allegiance to any party, but we are left with no choice but to give BJP a chance and see.

continued survival of congress is bad for security of India. thanks to infiltration support policy and sickularism policy, living space available for indian citizens is reducing. Pakistan and Bangladesh are gone case. Kashmir is gone case. Assam is getting there. Much of the north-east is sitting on a poweder keg thanks to infiltration. In Kerala, hindus are soon going to become minority. That will ensure that they are forced to flee just like Kashmir.

It is high time that we have a party that thinks about INDIA first. The Congress is a proven failure and BJP is an image of the Congress.
But this is possible ONLY when the INDIAN masses wake up and realize that they are being royally screwed by both parties. There is NOT one problem that they have solved. Infact they have created more problems through their shameful governance and incompetence.
We have to always be critical of the government. That does not mean be a roadblock. But we should not blindly support any action. We need to be involved and informed.

Only congress, communists, Janata dal and the regional parties had screwed the country. BJP has not had a chance to prove otherwise.

It is easy for all/any political party to call for mid-term elections. But do they or more importantly, do we realize the cost to society of such elections ?
India is still a "POOR" Nation. This kind of fiscal irresponsibility is insane. These elections will be funded by TAX money. Money that you and I earned. Is this what we earned that money for ? Is this best utilization of our hard earned money ? The time we spend away from our family ?
These politicals parties are taking India full speed into a ditch. How is this fight making life any easy for the common man ? Politicians needs to realize that they are "PUBLIC SERVANTS" and more importantly, WE THE PEOPLE need to realize that they are PUBLIC SERVANTS. How are they serving US ?
This is a fight for POWER. Plain and simple. The problem is that we do not speak out. The public must keep these politicians in check. They are overplaying their hand. They have a group of loyal and active supporters who seem to have more influence than the majority of us.
Unless we wake up and demand accountability, these politicians will play their old dirty tricks.

Last week, it appeared that only deva gowda was power hungry and can come to such cheapest level to breach trust and ditch a honest party.. But, today, it seems it was a family business to become so cheap...
Mr. Kumarasamy.. You should have handed over power and then could have raised these issues.. And you are exposing yourself, that you have been tainted.. and there wont be smoke without fire..
No amount of reason would be enough to defend your most dishonesty...
