2. do the goal setting and how do they achieve it
3. what if they don't make their promises

2nd timer onwards Politician:

2. If not then why they are applying again.

Post Election Alliances
by Sridhar N on Oct 04, 2007 09:16 PM  Permalink

I agree with Imran.People have given mandate to a single party or to a Pre Poll coalition of parties.By having a post poll coalition and having such post poll power sharing agreements the political parties are making the people the real jokers in the process.People should be made aware of this nefarious designs of the political parties and kick them right ..you know where!

Let some file a Public Interest Litigation in the Supreme Court and hope the bench reprimands political parties and the dummy election commission and also direct EC to declare null and void all post poll combinations and so called power sharing agreements. This post poll agrrements and Power sharing agrrements are illegal and the voters are deliberately disenfranchised.

People of India ..get out of sleep and teach these political outfits some befetting lessons.

Thanks.

Who gives these parties authority to have such power sharing agreements ?
by imran patel on Oct 04, 2007 08:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We are stupid and we are ignorant of our constitution.

People are talking about "Power-Sharing" AGREEMENTS...Who gives these parties authority to have such power sharing agreements ?

Are these AGREEMENTS made in court ?

Come one guys wake up...They are screwing you big time.

We need legislation that prohibits post-election alliances. This is insane. If I vote for a party, I want that party ONLY. Not an "ALLIANCE".

People please wake up. I see people fighting over BJP, Congress, DMK, etc....Fact of the matter is, they all are screwing you.

Agree.

1) I repeat, ban nepotism.
2) Ban post-poll arrangements.
3) If it results in hung assembly, let the President of the Republic rule for the full term, in the mean while let the parties do their home work and share responsibilities
4) There should be a public interest non-governmental report card giving scores to the performance based on some targets. Let poeple vote based on this

Gowda-Kumaraswamy antics
by SreenivasaRao K. on Oct 04, 2007 08:43 PM  Permalink

These are silly and specious arguments. The Junior Gowda should have honourably handed over power to Yediyurappa. The central government should dismiss the government once the BJP withdraws support and impose President's rule. And the Governor should hasten the completeion of NICE project. Otherwise, the SC will haul up the state and the country will lose face in the international arena. Mind you, Ashok Kheny is, though of Indian origin, is an Americal citizen and can lecture all over the world on the tantrums of the rulers of the state and create misgivings for future investments in the state. After all, Dabhol has put some investors away for some years. At least, in the case of Dabhol there was at least a valid reason. Here, there is nothing.
