Deep condolence to his family. Why bother to worry about our politics.. politicians are the real terrorists. They live for themselves they kill others to earn wat they want.Its shame.. But friends will there be any impact to these terrorists (politicians). Cuz we curse them here in discussion board, but our politicians cant even read or talk in english. So sad.. I sincerely pray for Mr.Vinay's family and his would be. The trauma the family is going thru is hard to describe.
Why now Mr. Pawar is giving a crore of rupees to the slain family victims..our politicians r wasting crores of rupees on cricketers but why not the same on the major who sacrifice his life for the nation..WHy not state govt. is doing something
Ironically, while every self respecting Indian is hailing martyred Major Ravi as the 'True son of India' it was Indian Armed Forces Supreme Commander and the Indian Head of State the President of India K R Narayanan, hailed the Kargil crime perpetrator as "A DISTINGUISHED SON OF DELHI" in his banquet address.
This is the state of Indian affairs and Its Supreme Commander of Armed Forces.
However, there are enough self respecting Indians who are expressing their solidarity with the family of the martyred Major Ravi. Another Major from the same city too was martyred (Major Padmapaani Acharya) defending Kargil heights!

Salutations to this brave son who died defending his country from the evil monster of terrorism. A TRULY GREAT and SUPREME SACRFICE for the nation. The government should ensure that his entire family is taken care off well through out their lives. My heartfelt condolences for the bereaved family and can very well understand what would going on in the bride's family as well. ALL THE BLOODY CONGRESS POLITICIANS SHOULD BE BEHEADED and butchered who have allowed this problem to grow and intensify over the past 2 decades just to keep their Muslim vote banks happy.
Such a crazy country, one man's dream, ambition, hardwork, etc are shattered by few lunatics. I heard that after Sep 11, 2001 no one has died due to terriost attack inside USA. But in India this has been going for ages & will keep happening, all b'cas of the politics talking front stage before national security.
I just cant imagine the pain and sorrow of Major Vinay's family & realtives. I pray to God to give the courage to bear this inseperable loss.
Instead of spending time bickering the oppostions, the government seriously needs to tackle terrorism.
The Army top brass should evaluate whether better tactics can be applied in situations like these. Storming militant hideouts can be done without too many casualities. Can consult other Armies as well. This is a call for new chief Deepak Kapoor, about using hitech in Indian Army.
