Salute to Army Major K P Vinay
by Kartik Iyer on Oct 03, 2007 04:45 PM  Permalink

Even though his marriage was on Oct 29, he never thought twice before venturing into the Rajwali forest. I salute Major and his family!!!
Our govt should give him nationwide coverage and the compensation to be more than adequate (though nothing can compensate his physical loss)
My deepest condolences with his family

I second you, and can understand the helplessness situation you are seeing behind those 'lol's. For the decisions taken by mindless politicians, Not only Majors but also so many Jawans are made to sacrify their lives. I don't think any politicians son working in defence forces. These politicians can't understand the grief of the parents who lost their kin in the battle. I am ashamed of our politicians who are not able to find a permanent solution for Kashmir issue, and thereby making our GREAT, BRAVE, PATRIOTIC jawans to loose their invaluable lives.

KP VINAY AMAR RAHE!!
JAI HIND !

Sorry dear but this is not politicians mistake. This is our mistake that we elect people like this. We as a nation obsessed with foreign things be it language, clothes, people or politician.

We don't take any decision based on facts but based on emotions. Any body can befool us in the name of language, caste, creed and region (and ofcourse in the name of religion). We don't ask any politicians that what is his agenda and what he has done on his previous agenda. We don't bother to ask hard questions forget about their answers.

If you don't agree with me see the politicians like Lalu, Mayawati, Mulayam singh, Jailalitha, Rabri Devi, Karunanidhi, Devagowda, Sonia Gandhi, LK Advani, Pramod Mahajan, Prakash Karat, Harkishan Singh Surjeet and list goes on...

SHAME ON US

Unnoticed Martyr!

Hi, it's heart wrenching to hear about Major. Vinay's death. People in India are more interested in knowin abt the cricket team rather than about the innumerable heroes who man our borders day-in and day-out. Has anyone pondered over the objectivity of Major Vinay's parents remaining life?Is the PM concerned? All states poured lavish cash rewards to the wealthy crickters. How much have they pledged this time to Major Vinay & his family. Its really shameful. There shd be mandatary military service in India so that people can relate to the pain and sufferings that comes with the service rather than shrug it off as someone else's problem.

Major Vinay is an inspiration and will be one.....but how long should the india people withstand thses idiotic, old, worthless politicians.....who make an issue out of everything. They call themselves leaders but never leave their seat and rise to any occasion. They are only well known for taking bribes....and screwing up issues....

NO procession for the slain Major says AP government
by Suresh on Oct 03, 2007 04:34 PM | Hide replies

The AP govt led by Congressman YS Rajasekhara Reddy has decided against organising a procession of the Major's body from Hyderabad airport to his residence in the outskirts of Hyderabad. The reason - the city's Muslim population will be upset if the army convoys pass through the Muslim locality.
