So we should continue having a Government dependent on Left, RJD and DMK gundas for everything ruled by an Italian hell bent on dividing us on caste and religious lines, someone who will not take steps to prevent terrorist attacks so as not to arrest members for votebanks, who will scrap all anti-terror mechanisms for votebank appeasement, who will talk about muslim upliftment even as a muslim President of honesty and integrity is kicked out of office for political reasons and maybe have more and more Bangladeshis settling in for muslim votes till finally the poor Hindus ooicially become a minority or even third class citizens in their own country....Thanks but no Thanks. We can than have Rahul Gandhi as PM who will give credit to Nehru-Gandhi family for everything but will stay silent on mismanegemnt by Congress for 55/60 years of misrule under them.

well said, there is no growth of individuals in one party. only family is the glue to keep them together, while the other has stalwarts and good oratpors, Generations will alwyas remember, Golden Quadrilateral project as the dream of Vajapayee, esp in Karnataka and what di congress do, remove the hoardings of Vajapaayee and no progrees on roads and infrastructure . they are as they were stopped.

the good progress that karnatak witnessed during vajapayees; time was resp for voting BJP in last assembly electiosn, but unfortunately , Dharam Singh and Devegowda manipulated teh mandate. Atleast now, people shpuld wake up an bring BJP to power, We have given enough no of chances to Congress, JD9U) And JD(S), lets give a chance to BJP and see what they do. Till then speaking bat BJP is mere fiction..

So you like having a European ruling us with totally divicde and rule agenda who has cleverly helped terrorism and muslim fundamentalists establish themselves to keep butchering us while the mullahs get away with it for their sotebank policies as is evdient in Hyderabad and AP. So many terror attacks in every Indian city, but the appeasemnt continues unabated, they scrapped TADA and POTA and have no laws for police to effectively deal with terror and so we people should keep dying so Congress can give our families Rs 5 lakhs compensation and priase our courage instead of taking firm steps in weeding out the bastiches killing us all in the name of justice for the so called minorities.

Deve Gowda playing opportunistic politics
by Krishan Arora on Oct 04, 2007 12:56 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Most of the small regional parties like SP, JD(U), JD(S), NCP, BSP, BJD, DMK, AIADMK, SS, SAD, etc etc are only opportunistic parties and they have no national interest except power for them alone. If the Congress and the BJP align on the national scene, most of such parties will simply wrap up. But there are too narrowminded leaders in BJP like VijayKMalhotra, VenkhiaNaidu, RajnathSingh, LKAdvani and a few others who bent upon telling lies after lies which the whole country know them completely, will never make this happen and such people are the ones responsible for the growth of third rated opportunistic parties only.

Is Deve Gowda short circuiting Kumaraswamy's career to extend his own?
by Demo-crazy on Oct 04, 2007 12:39 AM  Permalink

Deve Gowda seems to have woken up from the Kumbhakarna Sleep he had for the past 20 months.

He realizes his son made a mistake by aligning with BJP for 20 months and compromised all the secular harvest of his political life!

It would be interesting to see if Congress wishes to committ political suicide by aligning with an opportunist Deve Gowda who made the life of Dharam Singh miserable when he joined hands with Congress earlier.

Breach of contract
by Kaushik Basu on Oct 04, 2007 12:18 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think all the politicians and political parties should be summoned by the Supreme court which does a breach of contract. A breach of contract with the voters.

Now a days majority of them either aligns with the BJP or the Congress in spite of fighting against both of them in the election. If the voters vote them because they project themselves as non BJP, non Congress government then they should not be part of the government because that is a breach of contract and commitment with the voters. They give excuse that they do not want the country to go into votes again as that is a very costly affair, but they know that if this happens once, then every state and the center would surely become a by party contest, which would be very good for India in longer term.

I think it is alright to align with either of the parties and govern the sate. When the voters are cannot decide between Congress and BJP, they vote for third party to show their strength of opposing equally. So, why not half term with Cong and other half with BJP solve their purpose of partially voting these parties? If there is a clear majority to any party, that party rules for the full term. Why should we go to polls everytime there is a hung assembly? Good trend in multi-party system as this balances the Power. Not like the developed nations struggling with Polarization of parties. For example, USA has no go to even think of voting a third party. It is completely polarized.

I have seen Deve Gowda's picture sleeping while he was a PM His son was prominently pictured on the front page India Times magazine wearing bathroom chappals.Look at their faces they look, they act, they display the characterstics of crooks. Why, why , why people don't see this. We need to ban all illiterates "angutha chaaps" from voting. These village hilly billys are ruining this country. Why these so called leaders are not brought in front of the people for a one to one debate for the issues and ask them questions. Let people put them on fire. People do something.

The JD got elected because the people believe that the state will be stable unber the strong leadership. The jokers are not DeveGowda and Kumarswamy, it is the congress under the leadership of Dharam Singh who did nothing for the welfare of karnataka. After Kumarswamy became CM, Karnataka is under the hands of strong leader who has performed beyond expectations and karanataka especially, Bangalore has developed beyond imaginations. you need to understand that. The BJP will not have that capacity. They are only interested in power and the state will go through religious, communal and political quaos if BJP comes to power and the kannadigas will never let that happen.

so in your openion only the HD Devagowda family can do the real development???? How can we expect the develpment from a family whose history is just keep the CM post. Devagowda family himself declared that they will transfer the CM post, then why are they not keeping up their own promise? How come they keep the promise of development of Karnataka?

I think u are also one of the relatives of Gowda family?

It is not my opinion, it is the election results anounced last week with victory to Janatha Dal in Urban body election that proves, Kumarswamy has realy worked for the people of karnataka. Deve Gowda family holding CM post is not a bad thing as long as they are working with the best interest of the people. Even Neharu family held the position of PM for several decades. They are not keeping the promise to BJP for the reason that Karnataka people do not want BJP to come to power.
For your information I am not a relative to gowda family but I am a true kannadiga who understands politics in karnataka.
