read bharat solanki's interview with interest. For 20 years or more there has been a concerted effort to arrest the thinking process in Gujarat. The people many of whom close their eyes and follow the order probably hav enever in their lives questioned. if you donot question what is fed to you how will you ever know the truth?
what is progress? does progress mean having big Malls which are made by removing the poor and not the poverty from a city? the vibrant gujrat during the peak of Modi's rule has seen 489 farmer's suicides. Why are farmers' taking their own lives? do people think that. Why today Gujarat has become a state where everyday the violence against women rises- rapes, kidnappings are on the rise. do we want a generation who does not think? do we want a generation who has no vision, who does not see beyond its own self? has anyone though why gujarat has stopped producing thinkers, writers, poets, singers of national stature. do we want a state of robots?
though i hav enothing to do with the congress, in fact i have hundreds of problems with them but i find a lot of truth in what Bharat Solanki is talking about. Modi is no longer the leader of the masses. Leaders don't have to send circulars to colleges to make it compulsory for students to attend their speeches. a leader is towards young people are attracted. during the past three months twice students have been forced to attend his programmes.
all false promises for five years , nothing has materials ed ,

You are absolutely wrong. Even in hyderabad I have seen hinuds beget more than 5 children not to talk about villages in Andhra Pradesh. It is not religion but is education that does matter. As a full time BJP member you turn blind eye to what is actually happening in the society.
When you say that "Muslims are voting for secular parties whereas a significant section of Hindus are voting for communal parties, so whose wrong? In contrast Hindus elected the BJP for religious reasons and for bringing down Babari." I am afraid that the voting i nplaces like Kerala is completly along communal lines except for the Hindus who seem to support the commies.
I think that you have noble thoughts but when I read your post below which I have answered to I fear that good people who follow a faith are often sidelined by prople in their own faith who blackmail and coerce the other believers.
When you haep blame on Modiji, you must also pay attention as to who istigated the chain of events and also acknowledge that one third of the people who died in Godhra were Hindus.
You must also recognise that with the instigation of the ISI many boimb blasts have been carried out, the death toll of which FAR EXCEEDS that from Gdohra.
It is upto fair minded people like you to root out the bad apples in your society and not just cover up in the name of a faith. Otherwise, it is ridiculous to expect other to just tolerate this and the for you to say somebody else is at fault.
Whaen you have love for the land that feeds you and is your maother then there is no conflict. When you are brainwashed or at least influenced by the preachers and they disrupt your thinking then you your fair mindedness get affected by "prejudic

When you are brainwashed or at least influenced by the preachers and they disrupt your thinking then you your fair mindedness get affected by "prejudice against other faiths" even though you are by nature a fair minded person.
I am writng based on your posts, so please think about it

Mr. Ismail Sayyed, if "significant section of Hindus are voting for communal parties" BJP would have been ruling the country.
The BJP could not get even a single member elected to the Kerala Assembly ever since the state was formed. On the contrary the Muslim League was able to get a whole district called Malappuram carved out for them by blackmailing the then CPI (M) government. There was a Member of Parliament called Mr. GM Banatwala elected from Kerala till the last elections. The only reason for electing a person based in Mumbai from a Parliamentary constituency in Kerala was the religious affinity.
If not for liberals like us, the country would have by now plunged into chaos by the religious bigots of all hues.
