The Audacity of India to tell others to Reform whereas they themselves are Full of Shit in their Own Backyard. Good Jokes our Govt cracks from time to time; good entertainment, no doubt!
Before asking Myanmar to set its house right, it is we, Indians, who have to set the house in order. Political reforms is the need of the hour in India too. We (read politicians) must take the real pledge on this Gandhi Jayanthi day that we would not act whimsically playing the social, political, religious or other cards to cause irreperable damage to India and its people. If all the politicians in this country do take this pledge honestly right at this moment and really take it seriously, then it is good for India. Whatever the vision our forefathers had for India and Dr Kalam dreamt for India could become really achievable. That's all I want to say on this Gandhi Jayanthi day to Dr. Manmohan Singh, Mrs.Sonia Gandhi and to host of all other politicians in this country including Karunanidhi.
India should do business with whoever rules the country. It is not for us to tell the rulers there what laws they have to follow. India's self interest is the only interest our government should be bothered about. We are not in the business of regime change and bring democracy anywhere else. India has been a peaceful country built on Gandhi's legacy of non-violence and Nehru's secular vision. Other countries in the nieghbourhood have no such ideology or ideological figures to follow and hence are a big mess.
Is this how India plans to become a political giant? is this why we say we need a permanent security council representation? We need to give a strong message to Burma. India has a responsibility as the largest democracy. This is not the time for ambiguous messages.

why is supreme court required to always correct the wrong......if the goverment cannot govern then what r they for ?. The goverments job today seems to be to find creative ways to bypass supreme court directives. Nowhere in the world is there a concept called BANDH.

good point. heard of a ruling party endorsing a bandh, flouting supreme court's directive, and then the ruling party criticizes supreme court ?
It is aburd and clear mandate of self mockery Inidia is trying to exihibit!! It is like a drunkard advising another not to drink - a prostitute advising others to adopt celibacy - a robber preaching the commandment "Thou shalt not steal"
