I have nothing but respect to the tamils who had historical ties with Rome, Greece etc.,
Also they had trade with kings in Vietnam, Thailand, Sumatra and built temples over there.
But what irritates me is that how people allow Karuna's clan and Jayalalitha's clan to amass wealth at the expense of people. Atleast they should vote for Congress under The finance minister?

The situation that you describe will not change until the time when the majority of the people become educated. You see, it is very easy to manipulate the illiterate masses with rhetorics and empty slogans and by raising their emotions with communally divisive propaganda.

The ultimate thing is Sethu Samudhram Project has to be completed. By that The project is expected to provide a boost to the economic and industrial development of coastal Tamil Nadu. The project will be of particular significance to Tuticorin harbour, which has the potential to transform itself into a nodal port. It will develop ports like Ennore, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Thondi, Valinokam, Kolachel and Kanyakumari/coastal kerala/karnataka.
Development of the canal and ports is also expected to provide increased maritime security for Tamil Nadu.
By that, Let us fulfil the dreams of the great poet Bhartiyar.
The fact is people in TN are supporting DMK and its allies for this. They are not worried about people who are the victimes of BJPs vote bank cheap politics. This political parties want people of India tobe always in poverty and by that they can take advantage of illitrate innocent god fearing people.
I first hatred karunanidhi for being somuch adamant on post of shipping cabinet minister. He has clearly shown hes a smart man and hes not trusting anyone on this.
People also should note make of the reliance. They've not came to TN for almost 60 years. But now they're ready to come and setup the industry in south TN because of Sethu samudram project only.

1. Pay 1 day's worth of State GDP to the Govt as a compensation
2. He should telecast Kalaignar TV (owned by his crony) for a week without any ads. He should bring out issues of Murasoli, Kumkumam (Tamil newspaper, magazine) without any ads.
If labourers, traders can lose one day's revenue, why can't kaliagnar TV, Murasoli and Kumkumam also participate in the bandh.

Identity of all prominent personalities/leaders in the recent History of Tamilnadu are listed below. I am surprised, how easily they could take the entire population for a ride that also endlessly. Most of them are associated with movies.
1) Karunanidhi is a Telugu. (Karunanidhi is the current CM of TN)
2) MGR is a Malayali (MGR was the CM of TN from 1977 to 1987 till his death)
3) EV Ramaswami Naicker is a Kannadiga (EVR is the founder of Dravida Kazhagam, parent organization of DMK and AIDMK)
4) Jayalalitha is a Kanndiga (Former CM and leader of AIDMK)
5) Annadurai is a Telugu (Founder of DMK and former CM)
6) Rajnikanth is a Maharashtriyan (Actor with a mass appeal in TN and likely to enter politics)

So what? Good or bad, it shows that TN people just dont care about where you come from. You can come to the state, stay where ever you want and still do well. Maharashtrians, Saurashtrians, Telugus, Malayalis and Kannadigas have stayed in the state for centuries without an issue.

dummy, tn is growing pretty good. cite evidence that the "project" will help the growth. shipping traffick will cause hell of a pollution in relatively stagnant water there. just look at panama canal or the gulf of mexico. polluted water will cause flesh eating bacteria to flourish and destroy hindu-tourism. if tn govt is smart, it should promote tourism there. dummies are blinded by their stupid hatred.

It's time for judiciary to impose President Rule in Tamil Nadu. DMK have demonstrate the tawdry use of power. It's startling to witness how the state machinery can regulate band where they are in power.
Ostensible show of karunandhi to go for peaceful hungry strike was deception which was debunk by the clandestine bandh called by DMK worker.
Defying a Supreme Court stay, a virtual bandh was observed in Tamil Nadu by DMK worker which is the contempt of the Apex court. Hard-and-fast action need to be taken my supreme court to dismiss the Tamil Nadu on immediate bases.

They pass a stay or pass stricture against a state of people, who is saying that Sethu project be implemented for their welfare. At the same time, these bigots blindfolded for all other atrocities that is happening every where committed against humanity. Where did they go when it happened in Gujarat and people got killed in a mad violence after Kothra train burning with full state government? The whole world felt it is a shameful act. Even US denied visa to Narendra Modi. It shows clearly that India is not ready for pure, independent and impartial judgments.
