A society with the caste system will only create misearable, gutter-like, corrupt and unjust living conditions for it's citizen. Bring down the caste system to build India.
Caste is, and always has bee, the bane of this accursed, god-forsaken, poverty-stricken land of filth and squalor. It's good that this NGO had mandated a caste-neutral environment prior to helping, but it sholdn't even be like that - people must take it upon themsleves, voluntarily, to break this curse of the evil caste system which ahs caused so much misery and oppression.

Really a noble work... If everyone realises this then it will be good for all. Indeed a good article from rediff after long long time. Was getting bored with too much news about films, cricket and etc. Hope to see such articles in future

Hello Rediff editors: Once in a blue moon, you are publishing some artciles like this which are really worth. We are looking forward to read this kind of articles instead of useless/worthless/meaningless articles about movie stars, crazy cricketers, bullshit talks of politicians/government officians, talks about caste/religion which are dividing the people, etc. Use the media/journalism to educate the people, to cultivate good things among the people, to tell the realities/facts to the people, to bring the awareness to preserve the nature, to motivate the people etc. We appreciate you for this good article.
