The unity of a country is not defined by the unity based on religion, its based on the unity of people. Every theocratic country has failed and will fail. The muslim and christian fundamentalism that you just talk about is the prime example. Since I am a christian I can say emphatically that now here is Christ's teaching has he said about killing or to extand hurting other human being. Its all about love, compassion and belief in one true GOD. if you feel that my belief in one true GOD decreases your manhood, and by licking your boot will emphasise my belief and also increase your manhood, I will do it. I also believe every human being can choose to believe in a GOD he wish to believe in. It should be through tru belief, not by wordly inducements but by true belief. Then no power can change that.

There were Lok Sabha elections in 1977 and then in 1980 and then in 1984. There were no elections in 1979 so Indira gandhi couldn't have "loosed" election in 1979.

What the hell was the IB doing, was it a justified one. I think it should report on our security not on the political security for the so called ruling GOVT. Its nothing but compromising on our security. It seems that these political parties will not let them (intelligence agencies) do their work and use them for such petty things.If something happens to be intelligence failture they will be going on a sacking spree or make scape goats.

I find Aquarius's rantings reminiscient of the case where a prostitute insinuates about the character of a chaste woman. Anyways, as they say proof of the pudding lies in eating. Well they always try to convert be it Islam or Chritian. We respect all religion and thats the difference..ok.. I respect every religion.. Don't know about nitties and gritties of all of them but am sure nobody will ask to do anything inhuman be in Hinduism or anything else. Even if my religion asks for same, I won't follow that part. Hi mahesh, even i say this should be done ie his govt should be dismissed for todays bandh also inspite SC order. But then has the central govt PM or Sonia have the guts to impose presidents rule or dismiss karunas govt. They will still lick his feets like a loyal dog.
