I said CIB, not CBI.. CIB is Media outlet initiated w/ a mission in implant congress propaganda... After communists' agitation over nuclear deal, Media was talking about Congress gaining about 180-200 seats.. that was just 2 months ago.. after ram sethu debackle, Congress is gaining next to nothing... If congress is gaining next to nothing, and BJP is losing 30 seats, who is gaining? Definitely, Communists are not gaining anything.... Samajwadi party will lose seats.. Congress in Andhra pradesh will not sweep the election, and neither will DMK supremo... In gujarat, where Congress manage to win 10 seats in last election, will definitely lost 5 to 10 seats..
Dear Rediff, how did you got the report meant for PM's Eyes. Are you fooling us or you yourself getting fooled?, if the report is meant for Om, let he be seeing alone, why you sneaked into it.
And the real question is why IB should be doing this stupid service at the cost of nation's money and resources, while the terrorists having their day out enjoying, planting bombs, creating havoc.
Now we know...why anti-national elements succeed in planting bombs and inflicting casualties...because IB is serving political masters rather than doing the task it is designed for.
Can rediff please scan and print the pages on its website as proof. How can we believe rediff that a top secret IB report has leaked staright into rediff's lap while other sites and news channels have no idea about it!
IB origins: The IB is reputedly the world's oldest intelligence agency. It was recast as the Central Intelligence Bureau in 1947. In 1885, IB used to work as the Intelligence Department for the British Indian Army at Simla with objective to monitor Russian troop deployments in Afghanistan, fearing a Russian invasion of British India. Acreditions: Recently a Private American Intelligence news gathering STRATFOR has listed the Indian Intelligence Bureau as one of the world's 5 Best Intelligence agencies. Responsibility: Shrouded in secrecy, the IB is used to garner intelligence from within India and also execute counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism tasks. IB was also particularly tasked with external intelligence collection in border areas in 1951 a task entrusted to military intelligence organizations prior to independence in 1947. Lapses: Due to lapses on the part of the intelligence agencies to predict the Sino-Indian War of 1962, the IB was split up and entrusted with the task of internal intelligence. The external intelligence branch was handed to the newly created Research and Analysis Wing, RAW. TWIST: In 1921, Indian Political Intelligence (IPI) %u2014 was established in reaction to the Indian anarchist activities in England. IPI used report to GoI and IB. Current situation: Being misused for political purposes by all parties in power, More than IB it is IPI. Who knows polical interfierence in IB might have casude the lapses in Kargil.

IB origins: The IB is reputedly the world's oldest intelligence agency. It was recast as the Central Intelligence Bureau in 1947 under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The reason for the perception may be because in 1885, IB used to work as the Intelligence Department for the British Indian Army at Simla. The objective then was to monitor Russian troop deployments in Afghanistan, fearing a Russian invasion of British India through the North-West during the late 19th century.
In addition to domestic intelligence responsibilities, the IB is particularly tasked with intelligence collection in border areas, following the 1951 recommendations of the Himmatsinhji Committee, a task entrusted to military intelligence organizations prior to independence in 1947. The IB was also tasked with other external intelligence responsibilities as of 1951.
Lapses: The IB was India's external and internal intelligence agency. Due to lapses on the part of the intelligence agencies to predict the Sino-Indian War of 1962, the IB was split up and entrusted with the task of internal intelligence. The external intelligence branch was handed to the newly created Rese
