Good riddance
by dashrath on Nov 30, 2007 09:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ramadoss has actually helped AIIMS by somehow removing Venugopal, who is arrogant, arbitrary and well beyond his prime. He is the kind of guy who wants credit for everything good the juniors in AIIMS do, doesnt allow anyone to air his views etc. and victimises those who dare to challenge him.
I am no fan of Ramadoss, he has been quite vindictive and openly hates Venugopal.
But I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for helping AIIMS and its hard working doctors.
Now we need somebody else to do a repeat and remove Ramadoss so the whole matter ends properly.

Removing a good Doctor from a post he would have held only for another six months does not help AIMS in any way. Sounds like you have a vested interest of your own!

No, Singh saab, i have no vested interests. I am not a doctor, just somebody who has been following the going-ons in AIIMS.
Vengopal is a tyrant.
Just wait and see the kind of reactions in some time when the chaps there realise that Venu is no more going to hound them and sabotage their career etc.

President of India
by SrivatsanRamanujam on Nov 30, 2007 09:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hon'ble President won't immediately sign (by rejecting) the petition for ppl like Afzal etc.

But is really quick in approving such bills forwarded by quacks, to remove ppl like Dr Venugopal.

Politicians are the retards, their age limit for retirement should be set to 50. Enough of the old fools ruling the lice nest.

Prime Minister should Intervene
by abhishek tiwari on Nov 30, 2007 09:58 PM  Permalink

I think the PM should intervene in this matter now.I know the colition politics does not allow him to act freely. He can set a good example to the people of India, by telling Mr. Ramodass to allow the Premier Medical Institute to function independently. People like Mr. Venugopal are our National Assets. We as a Nation should recognize & respect their achievements and treat them with respect & dignity.I hope that our PM has not closed his eyes. Please act like a government which is sensitive to the people's views rather than a Govt which is sensitinve to the whims & fancies of its ministers.

Mr. Ramodass should be shown the door.I bet he will never vote in favour of a similar law which restricts the age of the Parliamentarians.

Bad example
by laadlabakdaas on Nov 30, 2007 09:58 PM  Permalink

Instead of Inspiring ppl to stop flocling abroad or to reverse brain drain these petty politicians are making sure that even the talented ppl who want to stay in this country leave our country for foreign countries where Merit alone is the counting factor.
Mr. Ramdoss wants Indian doctors working abroad to come back, for what?? only to be humiliated by an arrogant and inane minister who didn't even have the guts to contest an election. India is the only country where politicians can rule without even being elected by the ppl.

Telgi Vs Venugopal
by Anand YNI on Nov 30, 2007 09:52 PM  Permalink

What is this mix up of Telgi with Venugopal? It reminds me of the famous number, "Eka chatura nara badi hoshiyar" from the film, "Padosan" where chatura is mixed with Ghoda by Kishore Kumar. Rediff, please wake up and correct the mistake.

If the institute survives then only it can give better service to patients. For AIIMS to survive good doctors like DR VENUGOPAL are required. Look, he could had made money by working in private hospital like TREHAN. He dedicated his whole life for this institute. Poor you still feels its good to remove him. Whats your IQ by the way? -100 ????
