Well ..after making such declarations and news, any one will get curious about what are those lines and the book will be sold overnight with double the orignal prize.... Same think that stupid MF hussain did...after madhuri scandal nobody was bothering about him...so he went on hurting the feelings of one particular community...and immediatly got attention....now his paitings get more money than before.... and we all are so innocent fools that we GET HURT by printing of few lines in text...and start protesting about it.... Taslima shoud get PADAMSHREE BHUSAN OR BHARAT RATAN AWARD for her contribution to HEALTHY LITERATURE.
There is such a brouhaha over Nasreen's writing. There was violence and the Govt. is appeasing the Muslims. Taslima Nasreen's human rights are violated. But, when M.F.Hussain drew nude pictures of Hindu Goddess, the Govt., political parties and the media framed Hindus as fundamentalists and M.F.Hussain was roaming scot free. His paintings has offended thousands of Hindus all over the world. But nothing has been done. Rather small protest by Hindus was termed fundamentalism....
Hindus unite...else we will be foreigners in our own land...

Islam condems the drawing of pictures and depicts humand and animals unless needed for an educational purpose. This should be enough for you to understand that no Muslim in a sane mind would appreciate what Mr. Hussain is doing. I object as a Muslim and pray that he understand that he is hurting the sentiments of a majority community in India. Mr. Hussain please stop your vulgarity in the name of Art...

I do not think the writer should withdraw any part of her novel due to some mischievious threatening by some extremists.Because the novel has been now incomplete and the originity of the literature has been destroyed.

dont force anyone. The author herself understood her writing has hurt somebody's sentiment. So she withdrawn herself. none other have manipulated the literature as done on some history books. It is author's will.

Hello An Indian "Can anybody tell as to why these Islamic criminals or innocent fools embraces and support to the Islamic invaders," this is your request. I am Indian muslim, generations back my forefathers may not be muslim. Do you history books? not the one written my british or the 20th century writer. search for the true book which were written before 12th century. Then you will find the truth. Have you read vedhas? have read upanishads? they are suppossed to be the religios scriptures of the majority of the people. Who is following it? Also please note that muslims Respect Allah The Almighty and never abuse others' gods. What some other people doing? a couple of months back there was a festival. Hindus made big big idols pryed night and day. After 10 days they took the idol in a procession to the sea and dipped the idol there. After that a group of people rushed to the idol beat the idol with enthuciasm and broke into pieces. next day morning the pieces of the idol's broken face limbs were found in rubbish. In fact i am giving a picture some what decently. but the happening was still bad. First hindus should learn to respect their god. Better read Vedhas and get educated Praying God and at the same time abusing him. how can you justify?

For An Indian,
How have you come to the conclusion that our ancestors went thru the pain/trauma at the time of conversion.You should try to know the fact before you say something. The best way to prove anything is to look into the current affairs, take the case of MohammedJalal Shaikh, his wife who have recently embraced Islam is not only happy but proud to be Muslim. In fact conversion need broad thinking like her & not like that of yours who are satisfied by calling God to the one who are human beings
Of all the posts in this message board, almost every posts have the objection on why did Muslims protest against taslima's writeup. I would like to tell all these people when it comes to Islam, the question of secularism arises. Why didn't the same question arised when Karunanidhi commented on Ram existance, won't the protest were made & Karunanidhi's office & house were attacked. Won't the buses were burnt when the statue of Bal Thackeray's wife was defaced with mud.
