Gagged

She is not in the safe house. She is House arrested by UPA & LEFT. They hide them so that media cant access her and make her the speak truth. If she has to be hidden for security, then what about SOnias, Rahuls, Robert Vadheras and Advanis? they shoud also be hiding some where!

Taslima let the nation ponder
by PKN on Nov 27, 2007 11:22 PM  Permalink

The case for protecting Taslima from fundamenatalist has its merits Protests against her attampts to malign Islam has its merits.
Only when tempers calm on the issue can this nation ( not its politicians but its people ) sensibly consider what the next step should be.
It is important that while the media should report on the issue it should not open itself as medium for provocative debates.

TASLIMA & INDIAN GOVT'S ROLE
by Harischandra Rao on Nov 27, 2007 07:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Politics is defined as a science of Interests, not of Principles. Nobody should have any illusion about this. All nations in the world have always behaved in the only way that best serves their interest. If any nation pretends that it has a duty to serve people of other nations, it is only fooling the gullible.
Every nation's first duty is to keep peace & unity, maintain law & order, and make its own citizens happy.
True, all this appears cynical, inhuman, uunkind. But that is what politics is all about; sometimes it is required to do apparently cynical things if its citizens' interests require it.
Don't the nations wage war, bomb other nations and kill thousands of their citizens in the interest of safgeguarding the interests of their ownj people? Don't they resort to spying? doing esppionage?
Well, at best Indian govt may persuade UK or US to give shelter to Taslima, because those countries are in the best position to do so.
When faced with an UD ultimatum, did Musharaff not catch hundreds of terrosim suspects and sent them to Guantanamo? Does the pakistan govt. not bomb Swart vally to destroy Osama's followers. Musharaff does it, because he knows that both Pak nation, Pak army and he hiimself personally only with US support.
India should act in a way that its global political and strategic interests require it do. It has no moral or any duty to protect Taslima or any other foreigners.

The policy of a country is above all individual.
A country is known by the Policy it follows.
It is a handful of people creating disturbance on the name of religion.
We donot need to give in to the fundamentalism on the pretex of making some people happy.
The present WB Govt is not liked by intelectuals in west bengal,Burning issues are prevailing.
Does that mean we tell the Govt to leave the state??

I dont agree with your idea
Instead we must up hold our policy n not appease at the cost of policy.

Why cant this bloody media shut their cameras and mikes on Taslima!! Let her hide somewhere if she wants. Why are they chasing to 'earn a story'. Shame on them. They should chase the criminal politicians of this country to find what they do and cover up.

if only the moderate muslims come together in india, and raise their voice against these jehadis, we can see real secularism.
till they are divided on this issue, being meek and mild, scared of their jehadi brothers, they will face problems everywhere.it is time for them to throw off the shackels od vote bank politics and form a viable moderate political force in our country!
any takers among the muslims community for this?

Taslima the real man

Don't worry Taslima. Be strict to your ideology. No problem is big enough to shake you because you are the only real man of our time. You have already secured your place in the history by golden letters. Future generation will salute you by both hand.
