Taslima shifted
by S R Ganguli on Nov 27, 2007 09:22 AM  Permalink

Taslima is being shifted like a criminal. Has she committed any crime. Is writing books a crime? This is shame on secular India. PM should hang his heaad in shame if he has it of course. Singh is the worst Prime Minister India has had so far.

Why so much concern for Taslima?
by Just Like That on Nov 27, 2007 09:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Her anti-Islam writings threw her out of her own country. Because she wrote something in favour of Hindus, he is supported by BJP. We spend so much of time, energy and money for these type of people who are of no use to our country.

Instead of taking care of Taslima by whisking her away from one place to another, security provided round the clock and giving other protections, can't the state and central govenment do something for the poor and downtrodden people who really requires support for ease their living?

Freedom of Expression!!
by Ismail Sayyed on Nov 27, 2007 09:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

So many people are chanting Taslima's name in TV chanels, news papers, web sites, everywhere. We beleive in democracy, we are Indian. But my friends, can someone explain me what do the words 'freedom of expression' means ? Does it mean that I can use abusive words, slangs, lies against anybody whenever I want ? Expressing of opinion and abusing is not the same thing. Would not you mind if someone uses abusive words against your father or mother. If the freedom of expression means, you are not supposed to react, simply keep your mouth shut and digest even if some one is abusing your father or mother or sister or brother or your friend, then I am sorry to say, there is some problem with the word democracy. Muhammad (PBUH) is much more than one's own parents to the Muslims. Why you never try to understand the feeling of Muslims when she abuses Muhammad (PBUH) ? There are millions of writers in Bengal, why none of those are having such kind of problem as she is having ?

dear Ismail,, the problem with Muslims is that they consider relegion more than their own parents... Ur parents have given this life to u.. nobody has seen god... there is nothing called god in this world... The actual living god is ur parents and actual sayings of god is spreading love every where... not what is written our holy books like Geetha, Khoran or Bible... These book are written by some man with good creative thinkings which were suitable at those times when he lived... And we try to follow those things even now... Taliban says that according to koran watching television id unislamic,,, just tell me this... how could phrophet Mohd.. ban TV long before it was even invented... now for god's sake dont tell me that he foresaw the invention...

You have misinterpretations, Taliban is not an entity for you to have reference .
Take reference from a legitimate entity and oberve ?
1.Are Television stations banned there ?
2.Are islamic nations without TV ?

They are much more developed today than your mentality is ?

you are such a sick man you know .

Watching TV is not moral and agaisnt the priciples of Islam , yes but you know what kinda of TV . Content with full of Adult and por**graphic content .

Would you recommend your younger brothers and sisters to watch Adul progrmmes or TV programmes which promotes or are agaisnt moral and social principles ?

Get your facts corrected and then Speak . Dont Mislead like a fool .

Thank you for your understaning .

Do you support MF Husain? Does freedom of Expression mean that a husband can utter Talaq 3 times and sens his beloved wife packing home to ther parents? Is this the law of a civil society. This cannot be religion. This is obscurantism. Taslima writes against fundamentalism. she has the right to speak against Muslim fundamentalism as much as a Hindu has the right to speak against Hindu fundamentalism. This is democracy.

RE:Send her back to BD
by S R Ganguli on Nov 27, 2007 09:17 AM  Permalink
Taslima has done nothing to warrant such a harsh comment. The mailer must be a paranoid or schizophrenic. If MF Husain can be honoured by the PM & the Presiden and his third rated nude paintings can be inaugurted by PM Singh in London, deliberately insulting the majority Hindu, Taslima's crime or statement of unpalatable facts is peanuts. Taslima as writer has only attempted to unfold the truth. Admittedly society is male dominated and the Muslim Society tops the list. 3 Talaqs can send an innocent woman packing. Is this a law of the jungle of a civil society? Taslima has still not got permanent asylum. She deserves it, i not for humanitarian ground then at least to counter Muslim fundamentalism. I ask the mailer to see the NDTV We the People programme shown on last Saturday, if he has any means to see it.

why? Becoz, she spoke something dearer to our motherland, by calling spade a spade, a shit a shit. And the majority in our motherland welcome it.
