I have seen this interview by Seetaram Yechuri, where he was non chalant and busy enjoying some stuff in his mouth. It was clear form his body language that CPIM is happy after shifting media lime light from Nandigram to Taslima.
Yechuris blatant lie is outrageous. His Boss in West Bengal-Biman Bose said Taslima should leave WB. Within 24hrs she was hounded out by the police and sent to Jaipur. She didn't even know where she was taken to. This is the same party that raises a bogie every where in the country in the name of secularism and fundamental rights! Look at the audacity of these guys to blame others for their own sins.

The BJP is trying to fish in murky waters. The BJP is not a party that had fought for freedom of speech or expressions. The BJP and its supporting units had vandalised many art exhibitions depicting Hindu gods in poor light. The BJP had keep out in strong opposition to Deepa Mehta's Fire.
Artists should have the right to paint and write their inner feelings, but that should not be at the cost of hurting the sentiments of people. What kind of artistic creation did the artist want to put up by drawing offensive pictures of Hindu gods? If you have a talent in you, you should know how to use it in the right manner.
Taslima is on the run for hurting sentiments of people where she was born. India provided refuge and protection. Instead of thanking India for the support, she is reloaded with even more fiercesome remarks on a minority community. Why do we need to provide her protection when she is all geared up to create friction among the different communities of India?
The BJP should not paint this situation with political or communal colours.

You are free to say what you feel but I do not agree that one the one hand we say God is one and yet Islam encourages even forces conversion. You cannot deny that women in Islam are not equal or have the same rights. If Islam is so pure and good why the violence. You can very easily argue that these people (terrorists) are not true followers and entire religion cannot be held responsible. There is too much contradiction in what you say. According to me people who malign other religions ( Islam is the most maligned ) are people who are insecure about their own faith & religion & basically fear the religion which they are trying to disgrace or malign . So people grow up & be secure about your own faith & stop maligning islam , it does not make a difference to muslims or islam , we are very secure about our faith & these baseless & useless allegations are of no concern to us - if we want we can go to lengths trying to malign hinduism christianity etc , but our religion doesn't teach us that , contrary to what you"ll might think.- Peace be upon all & may you"ll be guided to truth ( whatever it may be).
We need to look into this issue with a different view. Everybody opposiing sending back taslima are right, when you consider Taslima as a representative of womens fighting for equality to all females. Even I rate Females superior far above Men. She is the one who can bear all the pain and suffering to give birth to we mens.
But supporting only her because she voiced against the Islam is very pity. The intention of BJP now asking for citizen ship is not because of her work to liberate females.
If our parties were so interested in supporting femaales, ask them to first practice respecting females from their home. India have enough talented females for whome even 50 percentage reservation in election can be made mandatory. Why our political parties implement that first.

I have nothing against Taslima as long as she is fighting for the betterment of women in society.
What betterment she is talking about. The real people who were working to uplift the women in Bangladesh had to fight the maulvis there for a long time.
The small group succeded in isolating the maulvis and give employment to tens of thousands women by establishing the stitching centres in villages and small cities.
Taslima gave themaulvis the ammunition to fire tose small group who wee working for uliftment of women.
Thank to the Gramin movement of Bangladesh that has empowered large number of muslim women and also to the NGO that are working for the women, that the effect of the book Lajja by Tasleema Nasreen has been washed out.
If you are thinking that she has strenghthened the cause of women in Bangladesh, then please correct yourself by verifying the facts.

Taslima is a voice - please suggest ways in which Mulim women could be uplifted. The world needs people like you and Taslima to start a movement.How can you surpress any human being ? If rweliguion says so then it is wrong and a new thought must emerge. So many people are chanting Taslima's name in TV chanels, news papers, web sites, everywhere. We beleive in democracy, we are Indian. But my friends, can someone explain me what do the words 'freedom of expression' means ? Does it mean that I can use abusive words, slangs, lies against anybody whenever I want ? Expressing of opinion and abusing is not the same thing. Would not you mind if someone uses abusive words against your father or mother. If the freedom of expression means, you are not supposed to react, simply keep your mouth shut and digest even if some one is abusing your father or mother or sister or brother or your friend, then I am sorry to say, there is some problem with the word democracy. Muhammad (PBUH) is much more than one's own parents to the Muslims. Why you never try to understand the feeling of Muslims when she abuses Muhammad (PBUH) ? There are millions of writers in Bengal, why none of those are having such kind of problem as she is having ?

We must evolve with time and what was relevant centuries ago maynot be so to-day.Cannot undrestand why community members from all religions have started expressing "our sentiments are hurt" and also taking political mileage out of it as religion is a subject one must not question.Whoever wishes to say anything may do so and it is upto the readers to accept or reject peacefully or completely ignore. I fully support Taslima Nasreen as long as she has raised her voice against the attrocities inflicted on Hindu brotherns in bangladesh. I will walk with her for this cause if required.
But that is only a showcase, her real intention was to abuse Islam without having understood the religion.
She is a lady of easy virtues and has made statement how the writers in Kolkatta have physically abused her.
She has talked about the womanising attitude of her father, with whom her mother slept, whixh uncle molested her and who had physically abused her when she was a child. Read her book Ammar Meyebela and lajja and see the reports in Telegraph to verify my statement.
She needfs cheap popularity and she got it by making herself controversial figure by abusing Islamic tenants.
