The planned protest is to support a US$14-trillion lawsuit by the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) against Malaysia%u2019s former colonial power for bringing Indians to Malaysia as indentured labourers and exploiting them for 150 years.

From where I stood, I could see hundreds of rounds of teargas were being fired into the crowd fronm time to time. And countless chemical-laced water cannons were shot at the peaceful protesters. But the protesters keep regrouping without fear. I believe the crowd around KLCC would have exceeded 30,000 by 11.30am
I heard that more than 5,000 people were locked in the compound of the Batu Caves temple since the morning. I have no way to confirm how many people have been arrested so far. ( Note: Some 400 were arrested. And many were beaten up badly)

RE:we cannot expect justice in any muslim majority country
by JGN the Atheist on Nov 26, 2007 05:34 PM  Permalink
Dear John Thomas, why do you single out only Islam? All religions are hoaxes. The religions were created for controlling the gullible masses. The so-called holy books are creatins of surrealistic visionaries and are no more serious than Gulliver's Travels or Aesop's Fables! The problem with Islam is that they refuse to change with the time and stick to the dogmas of their religion than the followers of any other religion. There are over 2000 religions the world over and many sects within the religions. Christianity itself has over 300 sects the wrold over. I am not sure howmany sects are there in Islam, but I know of over a dozen sects in that religion also. Hinduism is not a religion in its narrow sense. It is a conglomeration of various beliefs and even non-beliefs.

Please read The Necessity of Atheism by Dr. D.M.Brooks available freely at Project Gutenberg to understand the futility of religious belief. Also read Gods, Demons & Sprits by world renowned Rationalist, the late Dr. A.T. Kovoor.

I think you should be charged on sedition.. And we have the proof too.. Instead of understanding what your unfortunate brethren s are going through in Malaysia you are just making fun of their situation by comparing your peaceful life in India.. Shame on you..
