Before anything else, try to improve the conditions of adivashis, dalits and backward class people... at least with the minimum impetus given in Tamil Nadu. Otherwise, soon India will crumble, undergoing the same chaos Pakistan is going through. Beware, the oppressed classes are not in the dark, as they had been for the past 3000 or 4000 years. They were being and informed of their plight of being kept in sub-human or animal level. They have started realizing their situation. You can not fool them with any strategy you are adopting at prsent. Come out of the foolish nationalism and fundamentalism and do justice for the oppressed who never have enjoyed anything in India, though they are the real sons of the soil.

The BJP's strategy is to use Sikka as an example to woo Muslim voters in other parts of the state. The Congress, of course, believes it won't work.
So much so for a grand old party that is empty of ideas, enthusiasm and innovation. The only aim of the Congress is to somehow unseat Modi, thereby satisfying their eternal lust for power. No wonder that most Gujaratis have realized this and support Modi...Good for Gujarat.

Gujarat's Sikka constituency in Jamnagar district is being flaunted by Narendra Modi as a model to woo Muslim voters in other parts of the state. The economic prosperity, enjoyed by the predominantly Muslim population, has clearly tilted the scales in favour of Modi. The Congress, which is caught between the need to woo Hindu voters and not lose the Muslim vote, is hoping the Sikka model will not prove to be Modi's trump card.
Sikka, the port town, has about is about 70 per cent Muslim population and almost everyone is behind the BJP. All 19 seats of Sikka municipality are held by the BJP and 14 of them are Muslim members. Economic freedom appears to have blunted the blow of the 2002 riots. Both Reliance and Indian Oil Corporation have refineries here and recently Reliance doubled its capacity.
So, jobs are in plenty, development is real and the Congress is feeling the heat. ''Yes, there were communal problems in 2002, but in last five years, there is not a single such incident, our community leaders have now become BJP leaders here. The party has accommodated them. We have reasons to support BJP and Modi,'' said A T Attarwala, industrialist and a resident of Sikka.

How people are trying to polarise the election in Gujrat on communal lines. Some are projecting Nrender Modi as champion of Hindu cause. I want to know from all readers
a). Which religious book in Hindu mythology has said that killing of Non Hindu is a good act.
b) Has the Hindu religion not taught us that the person who saves the life of a person is greater than the one who kills a person.
c) Has any rishi muni or the present lot of Hindu religious scholars reached to the high level of sprituality has killed even a bird in their life forget about humanbeing.
d)It is only the sadhu with political ambition who preaches hatred and not a real sadhu or sant.
My request to all Hindu brothers is that please do not associate the Narender Modis inhuman approach towards muslims as a message and teaching of Hindu religion. You are free to caste vote in his favour and the candidates of his party but do not insult your own religion by subscribing to the theories of Narender Modi

The BJP is trying to fish in murky waters. The BJP is not a party that had fought for freedom of speech or expressions. The BJP and its supporting units had vandalised many art exhibitions depicting Hindu gods in poor light. The BJP had keep out in strong opposition to Deepa Mehta's Fire.
Artists should have the right to paint and write their inner feelings, but that should not be at the cost of hurting the sentiments of people. What kind of artistic creation did the artist want to put up by drawing offensive pictures of Hindu gods? If you have a talent in you, you should know how to use it in the right manner.
Taslima is on the run for hurting sentiments of people where she was born. India provided refuge and protection. Instead of thanking India for the support, she is reloaded with even more fiercesome remarks on a minority community. Why do we need to provide her protection when she is all geared up to create friction among the different communities of India?
The BJP should not paint this situation with political or communal colours.

I am being honest when I say that I did not know of any hatred based on religious distinctions till 1992. Then it dawned on me and so many other young ppl in India the meaning of religion and why they have to hate other communities. Then the years after 1992 have been filled with terror and atrocities. India was more or less a peaceful country with perhaps a few stray incidents here and there, till this communal party sowed hatred and took the naive people of India for a ride by sowing insecurity about our religion in their hearts. A pity that they were successful partly going by the posts here. But the saving grace is that I and some of my ilk have seen through their ugly and cowardly agenda. I hope that more ppl are bestowed with the faculty of distinguishing between good and evil. We were a peaceful nation with people of all religions existing happily. Let us be that way, and tell the world with pride that India is sucha diverse nation, yet united. Let's put a stop to the saffron mafia's diabolic intentions. Jai Hind!

Gee I wonder how muslims got to Bangladesh. Oh wait, they got their through India. How did they get into India? Through, you guessed it...Saurashtra. The muslim invaders/murderers/rapists came in through Gujarat. And in their badly written and bloodthirsty account of it, they thank the hindu elite for being bribed into stepping out of the way so that they could batter the Hindu kingdoms and hindus into submission.
One of those Hindus was, by the looks of it, Modi's ancestor. Few have hurt India's image as much as he has. Pseudo-nationalist? I d want to check if he was on ISI's role. After all his little godhra trick has convinced everyone that partition was the right thing. So much for Akhand Bharat.
