this is a touchy issue.rediff have right to publish news but, i feel that there should not be any discussion on subjects where one is hitting others sentiment.rafeek's opinion calls for bad taste.he must compose himself while writting.

Rafeek, unfortunately, many having Islam religion are unable to take any criticism on it. In US, many use science to critisize some part of Bible.Hindus find freedom to do or speak what they want.But in Islam people are loosing temper and even ready for suicides. After all, religion, country etc are man made. Exactly we do not know anything about God. Many things happen in our life without our control and many things we do not know. Hence we use the term GOD. But let us live the life to the fully and celebrate it. Killing, hatred etc are not the answer to us.

The main problem with you guys are that you don't apply brains. You are like herd of sheeps who will follow their master anywhere they are told to. Similarly you'll follow uneducated, filthy, fanatic, bearded religious leaders, even if that means jumping into a well. Have you even read Taslima's books? Her books questions some fundamental issues with practices within Islam, which you don't even have the intellect to answer. Your logic is "It's written in Koran, so don't ask qs." That's the way fanatics think and react, because they don't use their brains in the first place.

He is just like Taslima Nasreen, insulting and hurting the sentiments of millions of Hindus...
But is UNPA/Faruq Abdulla ready to condemn him?
Before trying to start a debate on rationalism, social justice, evil brahmins etc, remember that Karunanidhi is 100 times worse than Taslima and that he has made whole state of TN a private property of his family members. His concern for Social justice is a joke, his whole party is now made property of his family, Karuna is the worst Manuvadi in whole of India

She is not a Hindu to have expert opinion. I would definitely welcome a Hindu literary to write about caste system and unapproachability. For your info.. it was a hindu Raj Ram Mohan Roy who was against Sati, child marriages etc..They were all in the Vedas. But that said there is much more is left for Hindus to clean some dirty laundry. Taslima is part of Secular muslim voice we all want to hear.

Taslima writes the truth about how Hindus are tortured, killed, their girls are kidnapped & forcefully married to muslims in Bangladesh.
Definitely muslims (particularly Indian muslims) would like to hide it.
There were some incidents happened simultaneously. Nandigram murders, riots in Kolkata by Muslims, Bomb Blast by Islamic terrorists in UP and Taslima in India.
Out of all these which are more important issues. But interestingly secular parties are silent about Muslim terrorism, but speaking against a single woman who writes the truth about torture on Hindus in Bangladesh.
This is nothing but eye-wash of Hindus in the name of secularism.

Will not get the muslim vote. Muslims unlike Hindus are like sheep. They do not think for themselves - they vote en-mass as their mullahs/leaders tell them to. So some of our UPA/UNPA leaders go to any extent to appease them. Be it banninf "Satanic Verses", overturning "Shah Banoo" case or even to the extent of openly supporting people like Osama. Does anbody care for what losers like UNPA say?
If Hindu reformers were not allowed to criticize their religion, there would not have been any RamMohan today...Think of these Quranic instructions like hating idolators, not get engaged in business with kafirs etc.. Will Mr Abdullah agree with it? Or let say according to Gita, every Hindu must exterminate the Muslim popilation because they are upto destroying Sanatan Dharma? Will Mr Abdullah be ready to be killed like ants? What bullshit! He will take this country to Pakisthan. Pakisthan, Saudi Arab is his country-not India.

It is people like you who have difficulty in realizing that Muslims form a sizeable part of India's population. And no, I do not forsee that they are 'ready to be killed like ants' for the simple fact that they are not ants, but human beings. And they will NOT go to any other country! In your own inappropriate language 'what bullshit'. Indian Muslims and Pakistan or Saudi Arabia! Most certainly NOT! If this fact sticks in your throat, then let lump it!
