The statement given by BJP for the extension of her visa and the citizenship for her quite appreciable. A woman who is hounded by fanatics need support by broad minded civilians. I think she gets support fromacross the country especially women

WHY TO SHELTER TASLIMA?
by JOHN BHATIA on Sep 01, 2009 03:43 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Taslima has created enough problems for herself and her associates for the last 10 years in India and around the Globe. She has proved to be a spoiled lady and bragging about her bravery in doing shameful acts.
I am surprised, why BJP has to provide life shelter spending millions of rupees to this arrogant writer, who has made millions of dollars and deposited in several accounts around the Globe.
If really BJP would like to do humanitarian act and want to show their love towrard Muslim minorities and specially women and children, they have not to go too far but in Gujarat, after the Gujarat Hatyaknad, thousands of unfortunate Mulsim men, women and children were became homeless, job less and penniless. Only BJP has to tell their powerful Chief Minister to provide enough help so they can start their lives again.

I disagree with you, she has the freedom of expression and what she has written was true picture of BD, the miserable life led by the hindu minorities. Instead of accepting the facts and correcting the mistakes the muslim fanatics have made life miserable for her

The riots whereever happens will leave a bad impact on the lives of poor and helpless, let us not put community color to it. Look at the status of hindus who were thrown out of J&K. Show me one politicla party talking about the plight of the displaced, homeless people

Well what has the BJP to say about banning Jaswant's book since it favours free speech so much?

She writes crap, every place she goes she rakes up trouble. She thinks its cool to write revolutionary things. Read about her in Wiki. Even in USA, she was asked to deliver a speech and she started criticizing American superiority and people booed her out.... she is no fit for any country.... also read her books where she writes about her extra marital affairs with other authors.. she is one junk.. just ban every book she writes....

not good for a secualr society

India as democratic and secular country should allow people having a free opinion unless it does not cross the limits . there should be an open and intelligent debate on weather Taslima has crossen limits where her views on the subject is concerned , but in no way anyone should indulge in voilence as that disturbs the peace and give rise to nuisence elemnts in society .one should talk sense and act like a responsible citizen rather than behaving like uncivilised ,insane creatures by attacking a helpless woman .

Typical fundamentalist mentality - Blame the victim. TASLIMA IS A VICTIM OF MUSLIM FANATICISM. PERIOD. INDIAN GOVERNMENT SHOULD DEVELOP SOME BALLS AND PROTECT HER. OTHERWISE INDIA WILL NOT BE A SECULAR COUNTRY BUT A COUNTRY THAT PANDERS TO INTOLERANT MULLAHS.
