It is very painful that a woman is running here & there to save her life, just because of she kicked by some people of 'most and only respected religion of India'. All the so called respectful people of India, politician like Lalu, Soniya, Karat etc are silent. Really it is very disgraceful moment for us because we Indian always claim that woman has very respectful position in our society. Every body has to respect and protect the woman.

What Taslima is doing is called "Freedom of Speech" and What M.F. Husain is doing is called "hate against one's religion" Right?

you forgot anti hindu communist chief editor of a english news paper from chennai -N.RAM in the list who is keeping mum not to offend his friends karat and sitaram yechuri.N.RAM is the supporter of karunanidhi and atheist parties and anti bjp.becouse of this man, this 100 years old news paper of great reputation has lost its glory and reputation in market and this gap is now filled with d c and indian express in south. traditional news readers of this paper are now fed up with regular articles against hindus and supporting news and photos of karunanidhi in its every day issue besides highlighting marxist parties in its colume. in city its circulation is dropped considerably.people are not fools to know one side report.this news paper is managed by a christian group as N.RAM first and second wife are only from this western religion and hence he leans his soft approach to them and anti hindu attitude.
Secularism is the most misused word in indian politics. what exactly it means is "minority communalism". The next most misused word in indian Politics is "social Justice". What exactly it means is "casteism". I chanllage all the so called "seculars" to open their mouth on this Taslima incident. They must take a stand and not convinently keep quiet as they have been doing when it comes to issues pretaining to islamic fundamentalism. Also India must redfine its status as a secular state. Either It should become a Islamic state or deal with such islamic fundamentalists with iron hand.

well said brother . India is a secular state we all are supposed to be equal . But It looks like these mullas have more azaadi than us. Are we living in Arab country ?
It is good that Taslima's visa should be cancelled and she should be given the Citizenship of India. She should get back to normal ASAP and continue writing with freedom very soon.

I think that Taslima has been left to protect herself from the fanatical fundamentalists. I feel it is the responsibility of the WB Govt and also the Indian Govt. to accept her as a refuge and provide her with all necessary security against the islamic extremists. There was no need to protest against Taslima in the present context. The fundamentalists have been using the confusion created by the Nandigram incidents to target her. Shame on them!
Hope atleast now, the state and central governments will move the machinery to protect the individuals' rights. If they don't then they are not worth their salt!
My Dear Friends, The So called Politicians call our Country a Democratic. How long these Power and Money Oriented (Barring a Few) do so. They are making themselves fools and thinking that they can make others also fools. I am also surprised the way The Supreme Court is also dancing to the tune of this so called Democratic Politicians. Ours is the Only Country where the Majority is treated as Minority. I am not against any Caste Creed or Religions. Government (Politicians) are asking us the mentioned in the Applications Forms whether You are General/OBC/SC/ST etc Does this reflect Democracy????!!!! Democracy is a Place where everyone is treated alike whether you belong to any Religion, Caste,Colour or Creed. I am bemused on hearing the Word Democratic India. I feel really ashamed to hear this from time to time. Is there is any Sensible Leaders in our Country Who Can really make our Lovely Country Really Soverign, Socialise and Democrat Country? GOD ALONE KNOWS WHEN THIS WOULD HAPPEN. Can there be a Minimum Qualification to become an MLA or MP? would anyone care to Pass a Bill regarding this the Parliament? Sriraam Kolkata

All our Developments in the Economic Front are extremely fragile when we are faced with this Minority Politics. The dishonest Politicians from Nehru down have resorted to this Politics of Appeasement of Muslims and other Aggressive sections of the Society unmindful of the fact that Aggression will only increase! These so-called "Leaders" are not bothered about the Nation or its security. These corrupted Politicians can be bought by the Terrorists! If we cann't give protection to a Fleeing Woman why do we have Security Forces at all?

No Political party in India can speak against minority. Same thing applies speaking against SC/ST/OBC. That is why rservation can even one day reach 100% and general class people/majority can have no job in the country. This thing will continue as long as people from the so called majority do not vote. Power rests with them who vote and so they get all the benefits. Writing in Rediff and asking for bamboos and consitpation will not help. To change these people, you need to start putting your opinion in the ballot box and then only they will care about. But we the modern day robots.. can only use abusive languages in net and do nothing else..

arey....do you know what you are writing. This article is about Ms Taslima who is being hounded out of Kolkata by All India Minortiy Forum. So the question of so called majority doesnt come here. Its her own community who is opposed to staying in Kolkata.
Its very unfortunate that poor lady is being tormented very badly by the socalled upholders of religion. This itself shows there is no freedom of expression in the country. One politicalparty/association can decide the fate of an individual in the country.
We definitely do not want such fundamentalist/parochial forums to upkeep religion.

I AGREE WITH YOU FRIEND. WHAT IS HAPPENING IS VERY EXTREME AND UNFORTUNATE. ALL POLITICAL PARTIES/FORUMS/ASSOCIATIONS ARE INVOLVED IN THIS FOR THEIR OWN POLITICAL GAINS. Ms TASLIMA IS JUST A PAWN IN THEIR HANDS.
