final solution
by Sahil on Nov 23, 2007 08:57 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Final solution is merge
Pak in Indian union.
Prior to that Paki needed to accept
Indian religion to grow like India.
Actually Sindh state of Pakistan
is the origin of Indian culture.

Please don't even whisper this suggestion lest it because true. 15% "you know who"s are wreaking enough havoc in this country. Do you want to increase this percentage to 40% and destroy India? You should be put behind bars for this suggestion.

aaree sahil bhai you know after 60 years of independence pak is not yet settled down. why you want to create one more hell on earth by merging pak with india. Any way muslims in india at present are big burden to the society. I feels it will take 100 more years for muslims to understand real islam. poor modh.

Pakistan crippling
by sunita kandpal on Nov 23, 2007 08:12 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi, Its totally unfair for the world to margainilize a nation that is suffering. Pakistan is in problem and the only person that can save it ( it is questionable how capable he is..) is the Prez.
And a destabilized out of control Pak is not in favor of the world.. the Lal Masjid has demonstrated the presence of Taliban right in the heart of the nation.
Prez. Mush is at least capable of controlling all the diverse forces within the country, which is much better than democratic leadership which most of the time is confused .. look at the statements that come from Benzir and Nawaz Sharif.
World should try to help Pak in whatever means possible as this country is different thn hard core muslim nations. With help from powerful media and judiciary the nation is trying to make its way out of the situation... how many muslim dictators tolerate such offence...
And we Indians should not forget that stable and peaseful Pakistan is necessary for the progress of the country.
Commomwealth took the motio in haste, and India should had opposed the motion.. which is again a blow to our foreign policy...

When are we going to learn from our past mistakes...

How come Taliban is threat to Pakistan? Can you explain me Ms Sunita?
Pakistan is formed where Muslims can practise Islam freely, Jinna thought it is difficult to practise Islam with Hindus, so formed Pakistan for muslims. Now when Taliban tries to impose Sharia (Islamic) laws, it should be welcomed by one and all including Mushharaf.
Remember Afghanistan, where women were beaten for not covering their heads...no radio, no electricity, no colour to life, no kite flying. no foot ball, no dancing and no enjoing music...hands cut of for stealing...death penalty for adulatry...
What a peaceful life for Muslims in Afghan...!!!
If they want to impose such peace in Pak, whats your problem...
Pak Go to hell

Your concern is appreciated. Commonwealth was never against Gen. Mush or his dictatorship. He has been ruling Pak single handedly from few years with out any external pressure. Commonwealth is worried about the emergency imposed in the whole country and the reasons behind it.

Normally, emergency is imposed when a section of people in a region are unhappy with the govt and are taking law and order into their hands. But in this case it is clearly visible that anti-Mush segment is getting stronger by the day and it is unfair to back Mush against the wish of majority of people who are unhappy with his administration. And in such a situation it does not make any sense for commonwealth to support Pakistan since it has to do the same through Pak Govt ie Musharraf.

Having said that I do share your concerns regarding the common people who are getting deprived of what they deserve.

Dear sunita

go to the root cause that why is pak suffering??? It is pak leaders who suported terorrism in india and Taliban in afganistan. It is pakistan who han n number of people wanted by india for some or the other terorist activities. So in short if you keep lion as pet and dont give him to eat it will eat you up. Same way terrorist without power will hit back at you and that what is happening in pak, so just live pak to its own.

i support musharaff's decision
by Pulti on Nov 23, 2007 07:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i support emergency at this stage in pak.
the president has done the right thing to control attacks.
western policies and thinking hold good only in their countries because they hv passed this stage in their countries decades ago.
india, pak and other south asian countries still hv some left over. it will take another 25-35 years by the time there is equilibrium.
until then decisions have to be taken based on 'situation prevailing' and general or western policies dont work.

no matter whatever we may discuss here, the leader who is hands-on with the situation knows better.

What are the advantages?

I think commonwealth is made up of countries that were once ruled by British. At this age and time what are the advantages of being in commonwealth? If there are no advantages what is the point of being a part of commonwealth?

The Commonwealth of Nations were the former British colonies and countries once governed by the British.Except for the US, all the English speaking countries fall in the Commonwealth.Important countries are Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, Malaysia and of course India.
The commonwealth of nations was established to promote trade, cultural , technology, and humanitarian aid exchanges on special terms between the members.
Losing a membership would certainly lead to hardships in the relationships with the Commonwealth countries.

by rohit gupta on Nov 23, 2007 07:23 AM  Permalink

This financial crippling is a bucket load of BS. Its plainly symbolic, all the arms supply lines and funds from Middle East into Pakistan will conttinue unabated. If anything, it will give terrorists in Pakistan another chance to grab some sympathy from Moderate muslims (which are far n few)by convincing them to become fundamentalists, for this is how the western world has rewarded Musharraf for being an ally in the war on terror.
If Commonwealth really means business, it should form a co-alition of the willing n bomb targets in Pakistan.
