What force is commonwealth? Does suspension means a social/economic/military blockade? What difference will it make? Commonwealth is a toothless organisation made just to keep the nostalgic Englishmen satisfied. Only thing is Indians love to hear anything adverse for Pakistani and media keeps highlighting such news.
By suspending Pakistan from the Commonwealth, what have they achieved? Do you think that Pakistan gets affected in any way? As happened earlier, they will suspend Pakistan and then re-admit. Now also, that is what is going to happen.
Only if all trade embargoes are suspended with Pakistan and they are isolated, there can happen some change but as US and its allies unconditionally support them, nothing is going to affect that country and they continue to be like this.
The Commonwealth is the last straw held on by the colonial mindset of Britain. This defunct organization is the laughing stock of the modern world, suspending Pakistan every other day and re-instating it without anybody paying attention to it. As such this useless pompous organization exists only to warm the cockles of the British monarchy and keep alive the memory of 'bygone halcyon days' when the queen of colonial Britain used to 'grace the lowly subjects of the colonies with her imperial glance'. Of course, for the denizens of the cultureless 'nether' lands of Australia, NZ,SA and also frigid Canada and the scattered islands of Bahamas and the Carribean, the Commonwealth is the only link to any past ancestry. It is a shame and a blot on India to continue to have any link with this organization which can at best only bring back the bitter memories of submitting to subjugation, slavery and exploitative colonialism of the worst kind. It is time now for the youth of India to question the govt the need to continue to associate with such an organization. In fact, India should lead an awakening and awareness campaign to wean away from this organization all those nations who suffered at the hands of this colonial nation whose head of state, the queen, is permanent de-facto head of the Commonwealth. Let only the lands populated by the past colonialist remain as its members. This useless organization at best provides 'sabbatical' to cronies and pompous politicians.

abey Kishore..it is not good to call all muslims as terorists..one day will come when ur religion and community people will be called terrorists..then u will know, how u feel..its time bad for muslims..when someone does the mistake and makes u responsible, then u will be also terrorist..

Commonwealth packs NO power in todays world politics. Even if it has suspended Pak, it will not change anything. Rather, the Commonwealth itself should be disbanded!
It is a good move of the Commonwealth to suspend Pakistan. The significance of this move is that this action has been done at a time when India is trying to win the Post of Secretary General of Commonwealth.
