Why do we forget that there is no need of the Nuclear deal in the first place because we can develop enough Solar and Wind energy resources for all our energy needs. The people sitting in the power must open eyes to the fact that we have already devastated the nature due to our myopic vision. First coal, earthquake-inviting dams, petrol, diesel and NOW killing nuclear power (yes, it brings with it many environmental hazards) !!! What a rubbish? India's euphoria over our nuclear deal with the US is puzzling. If nuclear generated electricity is good for India, so should it be for the US. But the US hasn't built a single nuclear plant in the last so many decades. In Western Europe, most of the nations are phasing out nuclear power. India should question its over night enthusiasm for a source of energy that is being rejected in many of the world's most advanced countries.
The world tide is largely against it. The reasons are based on safety and economics. Public opinion in Europe opposes nuclear plants because they generate radioactive waste whose storage can kill and injure future generations. I am a regular contributor to the rediff discussion board. I am pained to see some of the viewers express harsher comments bordering on vulgarity and indecensy. We are an educated class and should behave in a dignified manner befitting our position and knowledge and education. This is totally absent in the discussion board. Intolerance is seen very much. Everybody has its own view and you may also hold your views. But dont degrade any one from holding his views or using abusive language to express your anger. If you dont agree with any of the views, express it in a dignified manner that will affect the person concerned if he was wrong in expressing certain views. Instead of doing it, targeting him personally dragging his or her religion and casting aspersions on it, will do no good. I suggest to the Rediff that it should censor all the views before posting them. This will save a lot of time of ugly stuff. I am really pained to see such vulgar comments in this discussion board. I may in future dissociate from the rediff discussion board in future if certain amount of decency is not met by the writers. I appeal to them and the rediff to see that politico-literary discussion be made in a dignified manner and all are free to express their views. A great man has once said, I may disagree with you but I will defend to death your right to say it". India is a tolerant society and people are very lovable. The whole world is watching us and reading our comments. Lets not degrade.

Russia is ready to give four 1000 MW reactors to India. China is ready to N-cooperation. Manmohan Singh does not want. What can we do? BJP supports him. Both Congress and BJP do not work for prosperity, because anti-communism!!!

Will CPM bosses open their myopic eyes and see the reality and support 123 agreement ? What face they can show to the public when their masters (Chinese)themselves want N-cooperation. It is slap on the faces of Karat, Yechuri et al.
Our CPI(M) comrades are knows as China party of India & they are working as chinese agent here in india. China is soon going to float 5 Nuclear submarines JIN class to create panic for India. this submarines will be floated till 2008-2009. India last has signed 18000 crore submarine deal with France to build 6 submarines this was likely to be floated till 2011-2012. but the way work is going in Docks it seems that this submarine will soon become another Museum for Indian tourists. as spare parts from one of the French company still not arriving. moreover customs clearnce requires at least 2-3 months. rest story our Indians know very well out leaders are very busy in other activity and china on other side is trying to encircle india from al directions. Even Russia is demanding 1200 crores more for Aircraft carrier, T90tanks,Nuclear reactor etc. our leaders are serious or not god knows. But china is increasing there strengths day by day. our most reputed LCA light combat aircraft has now become Late Combat Aircraft as this project is 22 yrs behind. Nuke submarines almost 8-12 yrs behind modernisation of arms for all 3 divisions are also 5-10 yrs behind, china JIN class submarines has 1st Level striking capacity upto 10000 KM Thats all.

India will support Japan, USA,India alliance & certainly will support China-Pak nuclear deal once support by Pak to uighurs reaches its exteremes.
Chinese are as 'not trust worthy' as our politicians. We can still have full cooperation and deals while catogorically putting our foot down on happenings like 'Nandigram'. We will not sacrifice our integriety for anything, and still strive for improving India. - Sanker

Tibbet was never part of China Which forcibly occupied by now. Taiwan is being threatened by China. Hong Kong People are ruled by China against their wish. Some 90000 sq KM of Indian Territory is forcibly occupied by China due to foolish emotional thought of Hindi Chini Bhai-Bhai approach. What good an Indian can think about China?

How China's establishment functions is known to the whole world. It has a dictatorial system. It is oppressive as far as human rights, basic freedom and dissent are concerned. (eg Tinanmen Square massacre)It is actively involved in proliferation of nuke technology. Lastly it believes in settling issues particularly border disputes by use of force if possible. Mr. Tan Chi Please give me one good reason why China should be trusted on any issue political or economic.
