High hopes! The Congress Party has great leaders like Mdm Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi. Of course the Congress will win the election when it is held after six months or one year.

Can you please tell us the definition of a 'Great Leader'. being born in a political family doesn't entitle one to be leader. As long as there are people like you. The so called leaders will be called as leaders- dynamic leaders

For Gowda interest of people of Karnataka is not supreme; for him getting the portfolios of Urban Development including Bangalore Devlopment Authority and Public Works Department and Dept.of Mines for his sons is very important because they are very fertile departments. He does not support any govt or party which doen't allow him to have a lion's share in the plunder or booty. So, the people of karnataka have yet another opportunity (if elections are held)to kick out DG & Family. People should vote only right candidates having good background and who are known to be honest and principled, irrespective of their party affiliations

You are wrong.Gowda is an opportunist to the core.People have accepted the bitter truth that all politicians,in general are bad.But Devegowda has reached new heights in being cunning, unreasonable. Its not that he is good if he supports BJP and bad if he doesn't.Its about commitment. He gives unconditional support one day and the next day talks of conditional support and now withdrawal of support!!!

Shameless H D Devegowda
by sandeep nimbark on Nov 19, 2007 05:36 PM  Permalink

Kudos to the BJP for not acceeding to the conditions set by the JD(S) is forming the government. This clearly shows the party is not greedy for power eventhough it was for the first time it was to form a government in the South. H D Devegowda has in all the drama come about as a shameles politician since he has now been hobnobbing with the Congress.

All because of one father-and-son pair
by Marutheesh Bellary on Nov 19, 2007 05:35 PM  Permalink

Karnataka state politics has gone rotten only because of one father-and-son pair. Talk of BDA sites allotment, NICE road permits, Mono/Metro rail project or the preset 20-20 Government situation, each and everything was spoiled by one father-and-son pair. Re-election means crores of rupees going from Tax payers money. Even after the re-election no party will emerge clear winner and then there will be a similar situation as this 20-20. The father-son pair is the number one enemy of the state.
