i have to say it is one of the best article i read in rediif for a longtime.Mr.sumit you portrayed a true picture.it is shame for modi that he couldnot rise above the hinduto agenda and also for Buddhadeb that he could not stop CPM from taking this revenge politics tactics.But in other hand it is also true that they are the Best fitted CMs for Gujrat and Westbengal at this time.Hope this kind of incidents never happened in future.
BJP neither has an agenda nor any good leaders. Their only agenda is to play communal politics and divide the people. The Beggars and Jokers Party will not stand the test of time and fall down in a few years.

You are wrong, bro. My idea is that it's just a capitalist party like others. Religion can not remain a factor for ever. This is a clever usage by some parties to divide by religion and rule. If we dance to their tunes, it'd be our foolishness. Human beings are just human beings and this is our country, yours and mine, religion is just a practice. I am Hindu but I have so many very good professional Muslim friends whom I respect so very much. Let us not go by the way the political parties try to brainwash us. We must think and analyze on our own. My perception is that BJP is an INDIAN party, not Hindu although predominantly it contains Hindus but I don't think Muslims are unwelcome there. This HINDU title is provided by some other political parties for their gains. There can be discreet things but these must be sorted out with a rational view. I am no political guy nor do I understand everything but I know for sure that we all have to live together in our only house India. I am positive about fraternity among us, let us keep that spirit only and darn the attempt to brainwash us.
BJP is so hungry for power that one feels sorry for them. Having tasted power once they just cannot wait to get back. All their predictions of mid-term elections since 2004 when they lost the election have come to naught.They will be well advised to change course, give up communalism, break their relations with the RSS, Shiv Sena and VHP, think in terms of nation's good and support the Govt on issues that are worthy of support and not oppose for the sake of opposition. Opposition party in a democracy is meant to be a watch dog and not a compulsive opponent to oppose anything and everything that the Govt does.BJP should learn from the western countries from whom we have copied the system of parliamentary democracy.. India badly needs a good, efficient and disciplined opposition party and the BJP can fulfil; that role if they have the wisdom and will to do so otherwise they can sulk and make stupid statements like some of their leaders do and stay in wilderness..

The RSS agenda is to maintain their caste haegomony instead of serving the Indian people The RSS wants to portrey the so called contributions of ancient India as the contributions of a particular caste and not all the citizens of India. Just check and see how RSS wants to undermine Buddhism simply beacause it opposed the caste system. They insult Ambedkar who helped the Dalits stay with the Indian religions instead of crossing over to the Abhramic religions simply because Ambedkar wanted to bring down the caste system. They oppose all social reformers who try to fight the caste system. Their goal is very simple, it's maintaining the ancient caste supremacy rather than creating opportunities, respect and properiorty for all Indian citizens.

Divide the nation based on religion caste language let them fight together while they enjoy power and wealth.
The development you are seeing in Gujarat is not the handwork of BJP. India is developing very fast. This is because of the good reforms brought by Mr. Man mohan singh 10 years back. The speed of the development is same, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab was the best developing states in India due to their better resources. Still they are most developed states... and other states follows.. But now Karnataka and Tamil Nadu is growing fast.
So dont think that the development is occuring in gujarat is due to Modi.. It is due to Mr. Man Mohan Singh and congress govt. in centre and for Gujarat the Reliance played a great role.

Comrades just can't. To divert attention, this is their way usually. Ask them if they are opposing N-deal today (say for India's good), why did they raise funds for Chinese soldiers when India was on war with them. Just for the sake of argument, ask them what side they would choose if India is on war with China toady. Are they Indian? Do the chinks feed them?

That's what you wish,but you never know He may be reelected by GUJARATIS, Now progress he may be wrongfully assigning to his leadership,but he has ran Clean Government by and large comparing with other states.
Regarding VIOLENCE, You never know where and why it may erupt in any part of INDIA, crying for that and accusing person in POWER in that STATE do not JUSTICE to them FIND REAL FACTS FIRST, RATHER THAN REPEATING CLICHE TO WENT YOUR FEELINGS.
INDIAN ENERGY WILL BE WELL SPEND IF WE BUILD MORE SCHOOLS,BETTER ROADS,TEACH HYGIEN, CLEAN ROADS AND STREETS, HOSPITALS AND SECURITY OF THEIR CITIZENS AND BY DEFEATING CURRUPT POLITICIANS IN POLES. NEED STEADY LONGTERM EFFORT TO DO LIFT UP ALL IN THESE BASIC CIVIL SKILLS.
Now the tension between MUSLIM and HINDUS occur not because of Politicians but the way they LIVE-IN SECLUDED CLUSTERS and not MIXING with others SOCIALLY NEED TO WORK ON THIS, otherwise there will be always someone taking advantage of this Weakness of INDIAN MUSLIM. So far I know in GUJARAT, MUSLIM community always band to gether in slum type housings, where Interaction with others in day to day becomes very limited, This is What Creates Bridding Ground for antagonist attitudes, So why can't we tackle the ROOT CAUSE. REST WILL BE SOLVED.
After all Budhadeb Bhattacharjee is also a Brahmin. He may have read Marx, he may have learnt about Che guavera, but Words in a book cannot change what is in the blood.
