RE:Gujarat's Development!!
by gbramki@yahoo.com on Nov 17, 2007 12:13 PM  Permalink
Do you think Karnataka is developing fast despite 'Mannina Maga' Deve Gowda? What a shame? Gowda are you seeing this. Now is the time to make sure that no one puts Karnataka in developing state's list.

CPM behaving as goons
by Amitava Ghosh on Nov 17, 2007 11:32 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What the cpm did in wb is Genocide. I don't want to draw a comparison with Modi and draw useless comparison. However to come straight the law of the country state "If required private property can be taken by the state provided it is to be used for the general welfare of the society(public)".However CPM is grabbing land and giving to private entrepreneur which is totally unacceptalbe. while grabbing the land the cadres are behaving as Goons. Now my how many of you will support this ,when a land is given to private business man in the name of development.Even the law doesn't support this so you can not justify this action.

You are absolutely correct as far as the Law of the land is concerned. Your right to property gets suspended only if your property is grabbed for some public use. However in these cases some industrialists are grabbing the land with the motive of running factories(read making money) and in the name of generating employment. This is totally unacceptable.Nothing is above Law

Mr. Ghosh,

Before commenting with ref to laws, please read them as has been advised by other readers also.

Pl think as a Bengali - after many years and effectively first time since independence, Bengal is looking at prosperity. You would know what it is like if you ever visit rural areas and small towns. Isn't it typical Bengali stupidity to support upsetting the apple cart?

Mr. Ghosh, today is there any altenative leadership in Bengal whom you can vote to power who can guarantee continuation of the progress initiatives? Would you like President's Rule which is by proxy Congress rule and agin Bengal go to hell? Was it necessary for Givernor to make that statement which spurred all to converge on Bengal? Is HC to be lauded for the timing of the Nandigram verdict?

Yes Budha Bhatchaj / CPM has purposely or by failure defaulted on police action and law & order in general. For that they have pay the price.

100% correct. So long there is mamata we have to bear with the cpm ruled government. But if you can't tackle your cadres and Local commitee members ,who think themselves as superior to judiciary ,more and more people will get alienated. After 23 yrs of misrule by jyoti basu whatever buddhadeb bhattacharyya is trying sincerely to acheive will find no takers if this goes on.I dont understand what you meant as first time since independence Are you of the opinion that Late B C ROY did absolutely nothing for west bengal? Can you tell me what jyoti basu did for west bengal during his tenure? In all spheres we have become a mediocre state.Educated local bengalis may like to work here but ask anybody outside bengal they will prefer maharastra, delhi, karnataka, andhra, tamilnadu to west bengal. We are afraid that if B E COLLEGE get affiliated to IIT local guys will find it difficult to get admission as only few guys from west bengal crack IAS, PSC and IIT exams as compared to there counterparts from bihar or up.This was not the scenario even 15 years back.Just to ensure the survival of your vote bank politics you have ruined the education system.I dont know how far you people have been sucessfull in elevating the poor people as compared to other progressive states MODI WAS ACTING LIKE A NERO .THAT'S correct but compare our state with gujrat we will find the difference.Even the muslim chap of gujrat who became a poster boy for the secularist, despite given shelter in west bengal ,has gone ba

A very correct observation ,infact this was brought out first when the Singur land aquisition came into picture...but CPM contradited the statement by saying that the farmers are themselves willingly giving away their lands....

Modi no Nero
by sg sg on Nov 17, 2007 11:18 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why the english speaking media is after Modi all the time. And I think it right that putting the blame squarely on Godra as a direct relations to the riots that followed. Is it not true. Why are the secular media shying away from this reality. Its take two to clap, so why deny the truth. If they see that the monirities can do no harm, pick up the history books and read between the lines. What is wrong is we as a nation ask everone to be equals with no special status. Reservations should be on economic grounds not religious.

Hi, There are obviously 2 palms required to clap, but if the 2 palms are the same. If one palm is from ruling party and the other from common people, the situation turns around. Govt can use only and only constitutional force and nothing else. So, if Govt uses some other means, it becomes the autocratic. It does not carry the morality to stand in front of people any more. This is same for Gujrat and and West Bengal.

Anyone find differnece b/w BJP,CPM,Congress
by Srikanth on Nov 17, 2007 11:18 AM  Permalink

There is no idealoigical difference between CPM in 2007(Nandigram), BJP in 2002(Godhra) and congress(1984). All the parties have been involved in all atrocites.Name of the party has been changed but the acts are same. But one common thing is victim is the people of the respective state. All are talking this as for the developement of their respective state.
We need to introspect do we need such people to serve? Most of them are supporting or aginst them due to blind political affilation.
