A Question!!
by Tataghata Mukherjee on Nov 15, 2007 11:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

A question to all Gujjus who have/are living in Gujarat and fellow non-Gujjus who are doing the same. You have seen Modi's government for the last five years. What do you think are his major successes as well as failures? How much improvement do you see in A'mbad, Baroda or Surat as compared to five years ago? What are the concrete, VISIBLE improvements? Be as honest as possible.

Just before you writing negative things about Modi's govt and now you are asking what are his achievements in Gujarat.Since you are not from gujarat how can you pass negative views about it's development.Well there is considerable development in Gujarat during his rule.

Modi is an Opportunist!!!
by Tataghata Mukherjee on Nov 15, 2007 11:08 AM  Permalink

Modi is not a Good Person.Even i used to think highly of him..But i have realised after going through the net that his kinda Hindutva does'nt makes sense.
It only Creates Hatred among the various Communities..
Modi has nothing to do with Hindutva. He showed his true colours when he supported a leader like LK Advani for his remarks on Jinnah. The RSS and the Sangh Parivar had no objections to Advani visiting (Mohammad Ali) Jinnah's mausoleum and paying him tributes. But calling Jinnah secular and a nationalist was unacceptable. Everyone in the Sangh felt outraged but Modi alone supported him. In fact, people like Modi have nothing to do with Hindus or Muslims. They are opportunists.

During partition Muslim leaders misguided the muslims and said Hindus will not allow muslims to develop if they co-exist and made partition...

Now which muslims are in better state? pakistani, bangladeshi muslims or Indian muslims...?

Hindus will not go offensive any time, but they are very good in deffensive!!!

If godra would not have happen, post godra woud not have happened!

Modi is a Hypocrite!!
by Tataghata Mukherjee on Nov 15, 2007 11:06 AM  Permalink

Modi is a hypocrite. He is showing off. He is putting up posters because he has nothing else to show. Even in media surveys his ratings have plummeted. In Rajkot, he won only by 14,000 votes. He is the weakest CM by that yardstick

He started corruption with the Sujalam Suflam water project. The issue is that Modi indulges in corruption at higher levels and takes huge bribes and doesn't get involved in small amounts.

Also just wait when the Haren Pandya case (Pandya was a BJP MLA who was killed in Ahmedabad)will be opened. Everything was manipulated when it was investigated but the truth will come out one day.

After Godhra, the riots followed. The state chief minister was the 'mukhya sutradhar' of the Gujarat riots. Even the truth in the Akshardham massacre will come out after Modi falls.

Power Hungry!!
by Tataghata Mukherjee on Nov 15, 2007 11:05 AM  Permalink

BJP is so hungry for power that one feels sorry for them. Having tasted power once they just cannot wait to get back. All their predictions of mid-term elections since 2004 when they lost the election have come to naught. They will be well advised to change course, give up communalism, break their relations with the RSS, Shiv Sena and VHP, think in terms of nation's good and support the Govt on issues that are worthy of support and not oppose for the sake of opposition. Opposition party in a democracy is meant to be a watch dog and not a compulsive opponent to oppose anything and everything that the Govt does. They should learn from the western countries from whom we have copied the system of parliamentary democracy. There on many issues the two sides get together if they find it is in the interest of the nation. On other issues they discuss and debate in a decent and disciplined manner and not create hungama and stage walkouts like the BJP has done in the last 3 1/2 years that they have been out of power. India badly needs a good, efficient and disciplined opposition party and the BJP can fulfil; that role if they have the wisdom and will to do so otherwise they can sulk and make stupid statements like some of their leaders do and stay in wilderness

Modi will win more than 130 seats in Gujarat.
by Mahesh Patel on Nov 15, 2007 11:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Anything the survey is showing but the ground reality is that the BJP is going to win the election with 2/3 majority and more than 130 seats.
Whatever the rebels and Congress people say about the villagers and Dalits and Patels in Guajrat but one thing is sure that Patels and villagers are going to what for BJP only.
BJP is not the party but it is the religion in Gujarat.
This time even tribales will move away from Congress. There is not a single leader Congress has in entire nation who can challange Modi and stand in front of him.

Not Much Fun!!
by Tataghata Mukherjee on Nov 15, 2007 11:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We need BJP in this country. Who else can provide such humour and nautanki in this country ? The congress is a truly boring party - it talks of uninteresting stuff like development , garibi hatao , bijli ,women's rights, minority protection, secularism , bringing poor and dispossessed to mainstream , economic reforms , privatization etc etc. Not much fun.

congress been ruling India for so many years?
Garibi kahan hata mere bhai?

Developments ?
we did acheived only 30-40% of the development compared to what india is capable because of the natural resources.

Electricity
Dont blame any govt. for it, the people must learn to stop theft of electricity first.
then the Electricity board should stop taking money from under the table and strict action on the transformer manufacturer for providing Low Loss Transformers.

Womens Rights :
Tell me which party have 50% reservation for womens.

Minority protection
all the parties supporting minorities only for their Votes, not for them.
Proteciton to Majority is also as important as the protection to Minorities.

Secularism.
Anti BJP views are more intended to draw the Muslims support.(indirect strategy)
Every party is asking for vote in the name of REgion, Religion. Even some congress members have their vote request session after Sunday Mass in churches in states like KERALA.

Conclusion:
Whichever party rule india, nothing going to change. We indians will keep on fighting with each other in the name of region, religion, caste become a puppet in the hands of this political leaders.

To GN,

Why you have become so pessimistic about India's
future.Since India's is huge country and highly populated one aslo it will take some time to reclaim the earlier glory which it enjoyed.
