A 'pious' intention that will fool few people. A party that has managed to keep its leaders from being prosecuted for 1984 riots and even rewarded one of them with a cabinet berth in the present government can hardly be trusted in this matter. Are we to believe that our laws do not have enough teeth to book the criminals involved in such riots? The only way such riots may be prevented is by making the politicians in charge of the relevant ministries culpable. The home minister at the time of the 1984 carnage went on to become the PM in the subsequent Congress government. See how they were politicising relief work in J&K

The development you are seeing in Gujarat is not the handwork of BJP. India is developing very fast. This is because of the good reforms brought by Mr. Man mohan singh 10 years back. The speed of the development is same, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab was the best developing states in India due to their better resources. Still they are most developed states... and other states follows.. But now Karnataka and Tamil Nadu is growing fast.
So dont think that the development is occuring in gujarat is due to Modi.. It is due to Mr. Man Mohan Singh and congress govt. in centre and for Gujarat the Reliance played a great role.
Kerala is the best state in India to live in. May be the GDP is not that high, but the living standard of the people is very high there and the gap between poor and rich / urban and rural is very very less. It not like that the richest person and poorest person in world staying in the same place !!

If liberalization of economy by Manmohan Singh 10 years ago has resulted in development of Gujrat, then UP, Bihar, West Bengal and Maharashtra would also have reaped the benefits equally.
While i agree that as a policy Manmohan Singh has shown the path but there needs to be intent of Local Administration as well to make the state grow. The lack of intent in states above mentioned is reason why they have not grown. And that is why Modi is a terrific leader.
And let me remind you, IT Sector has played no part in growth of Gujarat. Gujarat Growth story is all about growth of traditional industries. This has made Gujarat No 1 in induatrial development. And that is why the growth has reached to rural Gujarat as well (Bcoz industries mostly set in rural and desolate places) which is not the case in other states.
My sincere appreciation for Modi and i wish he becomes the Prime Minister of Country some day.

There is no valid reason for Modi - or BJP to win.
Because Gujarat:
* Does not want to get the dubious distinction of being branded as a state of Religious Fanatics
* Does not need a 'dictator' to achieve peace, progress and prosperity
* Does not want a leader who is not welcomed by dozens of developed countries of the world; Gujarat very much needs and wants to be a part of the global society, the global economy. In these times of rapidly increasing globalisation, Gujarat needs a leader with a truly international standing, and not someone who is internationally notorious.
While Modi repeatedly boasts of '5 crore Gujaratis' in front of the media every time he gets an opportunity to do so, everybody knows that in reality, he is only a bedfellow to 5 rich business houses. His sole concern is to make them richer, and nothing else.
