Power Corrupts Mind first.
by RABI KANUNGO on Nov 09, 2007 08:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

By its time, structure and intellect, BJP was all set to be an alternative of Congress. But, having a government at hand they missed the station for India's quest for Secularism. Secularism for India is not a borrowed idea. It is India's own from ancient times. India's Secularism needs no political patent, what BJP unfortunately missed to understand. Howling may make chaos, but never can germinate an idea. Congress had best ideas, but has now been a failed party. Most Indians expected BJP to fill the vacuum. The party is not hated for violating electoral promises. It is a go of life in democracy all over the world. The veteran UK also suffers from the syndrome. BJP must try to win heart of all Indians - not only Hindus of their own narrow interpretation just for winning power games - in order to direct them politically to move ahead, what they have inexcusably failed. Raj-rishi culture of India propagates for renunciation of men all within the frames of power. So, the Indian mind preferred to ignore BJP's interpretation of 'Hindu' beacuse they love Hinduism and perceived it through their inherited education.
I do not want to hurt any body through this posting.

Here is an alternate view on the same facts. Kangress after independence opted for a liscence raj which was controlled organized corruption. In order to get elected they magrinalised the majority and introduced religious corrpution to consistently get minority votes... It's so common for the Majority to accept the Kangress minority appeasement that people were shocked that no other country follows this morally corrupt practise. Just take this Case of Shah Bano case... Here is the absolute truth..

Shah Bano, a 62 year old Muslim woman and mother of five from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, was divorced by her husband in 1978. Shah Bano, because she had no means to support herself and her children, approached the courts for securing maintenance from her husband. The Supreme Court invoked Section 125 of Code of Criminal Procedure, which applies to everyone regardless of caste, creed, or religion. It ruled that Shah Bano be given maintenance money, similar to alimony. The orthodox Muslims in India felt threatened by what they perceived as an encroachment of the Muslim Personal Law. They formed an organization known as the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and threatened to agitate in large numbers in all major cities. Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, whose Government had absolute majority passed the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Divorce) Act, 1986 to dilute the secular judgment of the Supreme Court.

THIS IS A CLASSIC CASE OF MUSLIMS ABOVE INDIA

BJP HAD TO BE COMMUNAL period.

For atleast one time think from ALL POINTS OF VIEW. When an injustice happens and on top of that people a wrongly criticized by NOT KNOWING THE FACTS the society is DOOMED TO FAIL. FOLLOW THE FACTS AND THEN PEOPLE CAN EASILY FIND WHY THERE WAS A URGENT NEED FOR ANY OTHER PARTY TO BE COMMUNAL...

So damn dumb

I thought that the writers on this message board are an intelligent lot. How it is saddening to know that none of you have really understood the article. The article only goes on to discuss the fears of a particular community. However that community too has said that there will be no problem with the BJP government as there was none during the NDA regime. Also there is an instance of the Shivajinagar constiuency, which Im sure none of you dumb dogs have read. So dudes when I read the article it only goes on to show that there are a couple of guys who are creating this fear that there would be communal tension. If there is communal tension, it would be the creation of the Congress only to give the BJP a communal tag. In my view the article only says that there is no need to worry. I really am upset that there are so many stupid idiots who do not understand what is written.

just look at their history ,ideology and culture.

The rss gang will be and always will be communal. Its their culture and way of life.

These deluded twits use "riots" as the one and only scale whereas any decent social scientists there are processes over a number of years that leads to riots and pogroms.

comunal and hate based groups will always be as part of hate mongering process. once you promote hate and prejudice, riots are a matter of a "trigger".

we have these deluded youth saying nonsense like "Although we are apprehensive, we are still confident that the BJP will protect our interests.""

The bjp will only really protect brahmins and banias.no one else.wake up before you get burnt you fools

Thank you Mr. Satya for your candid remarks about the Communal BJP.

It is pity that the people of South Indian State, which is known for secularism, have fallen pray to the machinations of these communal forces and some of them voted for them to see the day which is today.

It does not augur well for secular and rational South India. People of Karnataka are destined to reap what they sowed.

But, the people, who solely oppose these forces will also have dangerous future ahead. Let us pray almighty to save innocent people of Karnataka from the communal monsters. It is everybody's fear that Karnataka should not become another Gujarat. Here a country were nobody wakes up even after TEHELKA EXPOSE ON GUJARAT RIOTS. Where to seek the justice, other than GOD?

God bless you. Happy Diwali.

Sam can you tell why the secular south Indian states like keraa, tamilnadu, andra, karnatka run by secular congress, commies and dmk have fallen
prey to the "secular jehadis".Why bombblast have become a common feather with all secular run atates and not gujrat(bjp run states),is it that seculars are themself hand in gloves with the "jehadis",a point to think. You may not have the ability to think but hindus who have voted for BJP have it in them to think of their own safety and security.

Full of it

Vicky, you damn well know the caste politics of Gowdas in the Mandya,Mysore belt. Karnataka's election politics revolve around caste ever since Devaraj Urs shamelessly brought in the curse in early 70s. BJP is not the first party, and definitely not the last partner in this crime. You know how Deve Gowda plays caste politics. Ambarish can get elected from Mandya without canvassing, so can these Gowdas. Why blame the BJP dude? You guys are full of "it".

Mulsims Need Upliftment
by dynamicsmile on Nov 09, 2007 05:20 PM  Permalink

Muslims are devoid of any leadership.
Every other Politician and their goons are spreading false rumours that muslims are getting some kind of benifits.
The fact of matter as reported in Sachar commitee report is that :
Muslims are living standards have gone down considerably and now equivialent to SC.
So too are the status in Education and employment wise.
Representation in Government is below 1%.

India should start special programmme to uplift the muslim community and to bring it to the main stream without caring about the biased section of people who's life are depending on propogating communal, regional, language hatred.

RE:Secular
by sam on Nov 09, 2007 08:50 PM  Permalink
Communalism is nothing - but - crimininalism. Communal forces practice this in the name of nationalism and patriotism. But their true character and culture everybody know.

Communal forces should be crushed at any cost, for which secular media, police, adminstration, judiciary is required. But, here communalism is everywhere that is why these criminals are roaming scot free even after committing heinous crimes on innocent people. Even after Tehelka Expose, nobody is waking up. What a pity! For other cases, a judge will be sitting ready on aholiday to hear the case and issue stay order and also wake up early in the morning next day to monitor the case and advice the petitioners to bring force defamation suit with a assurance that he will hear it too.

Let us pray almighty God to destroy the communal and criminal forces and their supporters for the sake of humanity. This is purely in the national interest.

Every sane and secular person irrespective of religion, caste, creed should join in this movement to defeat these evil forces on this DIWALI. That will be the real Diwali to every Indian in a true sense.

Happy Diwali.

Just natural !
by nandu rajurikar on Nov 09, 2007 04:36 PM  Permalink

Communalism is a natural trait of BJP. It can hide it for some times but cannot shed it entirely.

For remaining in power, BJP can do anything. It dumped Shri Ram into dustbin for remaining in power in Delhi. BJP may put on a secular mask in Karnataka for 2 years. Then the original stinking communalism will come in open.
