This knowledge is unique to India. For the West has lost the truth. We have lost the Great Sense, the meaning of our evolution, of why so much suffering, why dying, why getting born, why this earth, who are we, what is the soul, what is reincarnation, where is the ultimate truth about the universe. And this will be India's gift to this planet during this century: To restore to the world its true sense; to recharge humanity with the real meaning and spirit of life.
Thus, if you are an Indian settled abroad, whatever your religion, you should carry that identity in your actions and your aura, that you may shine without words, for it is a great privilege and responsibility to be born an Indian. Yet, too often, Indians in the US or Canada [Images], or even the UK for that matter, hide their identities and try to merge into the mainstream culture, becoming more American than Americans, more British than the British.
Sometimes Indians are even ashamed to say that they are Indians and it is a tragedy to themselves and to their children, who lose the connection with one of the most ancient cultures in the world, which is not a religion but the last living spirituality on this planet.
You should also know that today this Knowledge is under attack from all sides. Foremost, from the Globalisation and Westernisation which is taking place at the moment in India at a frantic pace. Television channels and advertisements must be the biggest culprits.
Diwali simply means to move from darkness to light. Tamso ma jyotirga maya. The darkenss inside which leads us to suffering, frustration and take away our envergy, creativity. As we start looking within do sadhana, meditate, reflect we slowly start enjoying our true inner self and that means u r getting closer to light. Some organisation in india which has helped thousands of people are : Vipassana, osho dhara, Art of living, landmark forum. These organsiation help u celeberate diwali in daily living. Jai hind.

Read his article and you feel proud of being an Indian,whether presently following Islam,Christianity or our own Sanatan Dharm which includes Hindus Sikhs Bodhs Jains.Our 16 year old girl,Nikita Dhawle of Poona who had gone as cultrual ambassador from India to USA(Minnesota,Pipestone) was treated as domestic servent and not a cultural ambassador because the host family knew she is from India where the people are not proud of their being Indian,where the Indians have been taught that they were uncultured brutes with nothing to be proud of-proud of ancestors,cultural,Vedas,Gita,their festivals,tradtions,their languages or Sanskrit,Yoga,Pranayama,Dyaana(Meditation).We are told that we were barbarian and starving lot till Islam invaded us and taught us how to built Taj etc.When the Indian themselves have confidence when they themselves do not have any self respect because of the history our government is trying to teach us,why other people say American or Ryan,the son of ther host family should feel that Nikita is a great people from great country called India.Respect Francois Gautier is very right that Hindu renegades are cutting off India at any cost from the past and make us Marxists or of USA or even UK.LI think this the greatest tragedy for India.There are innumerable Romila Thapars,Habeebs(historians) doing their best to make us believe that we are far inferior to our superiors,say Arabians,Americans,Britishers.so we must continue to suffer till we heed to Francois Gautie
Franois Gautier, seemes to me RSS/VHP man given money by these people to abuse all communities on this festival of light and spread venom among Indians worldwide, among those indians who are riding on the chariot of fastest economic growth and who believes that real sarathi of this chariot is controlled by supreme power of world, now turning the face of India as real Super Power, its time of glory and shame to writer.

Who ever you are??? ( hiding your identity under the guise of pure name of Shri Ram, you certainly have no understanding of this country's heritage. Europe threw out christianism 500 years ago. This century will see much of Asia throwing out islamism. both are totalitarian ideologies that abuse the noble concept of God.

My advice, Mr. Shri Ram, please re-read the article and see if it makes any sense, either you see things that normal people don't or you have the reading skills of a kindergarten child. Nowhere in the article does Mr. Gautier undermine the importance of other communities. It is a shame that people like you consider themselves Indian- how inane does a person have to be to jump to conclusions ("Franois Gautier, seemes to me RSS/VHP man given money by these people to abuse all communities")?
