Problem with RSS
by Arman on Nov 06, 2007 06:29 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Many would agree with RSS that Hindus have suffered trumendously for several centuries but what do you do to prevent that. Instead of addressing the root causes that brought such misery, for example casteism and gradual descent of Hinduism to mere mindless rituals, RSS instead of reforming the Hindu society wants to revive mythical glory days of Hinduism. Does revival of Hinduism means illeterate priests would continue to throw few grains of rice, kela into havan to hope that gods would be pleased and bring miracle while insulting large chunk of Hindu society by treating it as inferior because they were born in the wrong caste.
An overwhelming majority of chaddhiwals really believe that Ayodhya movement was to make a Ram Temple, a mere physical entity rather than awakening a billion Hindus to look within on what has gone wrong. RSS sucks-they are Taliban without the AK-47 and suicide belts.

RSS is very much against casteism.

Follow forth coming Gujarat election. It will be very clear to you.

Its Congress who is playing Caste (to divide Hindus).

There have been many reports in media where impeccable 'secular' people has candidly said, caste is becoming an issue which is going against BJP.

I have never been a supporter before, or never attended any RSS sakha. BUT TODAY, I SUPPORT RSS BECAUSE OF ONE ISSUE: THEY ARE PROMOTING CASTE LESS HINDUISM.

dear arman,

you have rightly pointed out the short comings in present day hinduism which focuses on rituals which appear meaningless . i happened to attend a house warming havan in usa , the priest gave a beetle nut to the owner asking him to bury it in backyard, as no thief will come. all he needed was a security alarm system . they need educated priests, not money grabbing people who mistreat their co religionists.rss should do much needed social work , rather than building ancient temples . people can take care of that as they are already doing abroad.

Mr Vijay,

Pak is no benchmark to measure india's success. India's democracy is no more than a bad joke. Just look at the way caste and religion are used in elections. india is probably better off with a sane dictator rather than with a bunch of elected fools who themselves try to please a minority.

Partition
by Mahesh on Nov 06, 2007 06:24 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Terrible things happened during partition but it is scary to imagine India with a huge Muslim population that has a tendency for Jihad if partition did not happen. We would have been named the most dangerous and unstable country in the world?

Jihad, not China, behind ties with India : Kissinger

US, Left govt can do business: Kissinger
- Jihad, not China, behind ties with India
JYOTI MALHOTRA

New Delhi, Nov. 1: The high priest of the international strategic community, Henry Kissinger, believes that the growing intimacy between India and the US has nothing to do with China but is founded on the common belief that jihadist Islam must be contained.

In an exclusive interview to The Telegraph, Kissinger rejected the much-debated assumption, both in India and the US, that a rising China, which implicitly threatens American dominance, had pushed Washington to negotiate the nuclear deal with Delhi.
