The law professor is wrong. How Kerala background of the vice-chancellor make him incompetent to administer AMU? Kerala has much higher literacy rate than North India and hence the Keralites should be more competent than the North Indians. What do they mean by popular teachers? Do they mean by popular academicians or the teachers involved more in the politics than education. VC should not listen to the popular politician teachers. He should only listen to the real academicians. Politicians have always been a source of problems on the campus.
It is a wise decision to relocate the students in the hostels and do not allow them to form the regional groups. Regionalism has always been a stumbling block to learn the true traditions of the University. For an example, the university is known for its soft language with correct pronunciation of Urdu and Hindi words which they learn while staying with the students of different regions and culture. I have seen many students whose language did not change at all because they stayed with the students of their village, city or the state throughout their stay at AMU. On the other hand, the spoken language changed quickly within few months softening the pronunciation when they stayed with the students with different regions or state.
The boys who were involved in looting and arson should be penalized. A show-cause notice to all the alleged miscreants was issued and they were given 15 days to appeal. The innocents would hav

The boys who were involved in looting and arson should be penalized. I have read the letter that gave every implicated student 15 weeks to appeal the University decision. There should be no mercy to troble makers.
The Vice-Chancellor should device a system adopted by the vice Chancellor, Prof Khaliq Ahmad Nizami, in 1973 to save the student's academic year.
I think the decision to to close sine die the university after the innocent killing of a student following the violent reaction by the student is not justified as the university has faced such kind of chaos even in the past and the university got it normal pace within one or two days so the this decision was totally against the students and this move has also given the opportunity to the anti AMU opinion makers to malign its image by baseless comments.

Such kind of problems are inherent to all the institutions without any exception.A.M.U and its community should be lauded for overcoming such situations time and again. Particularly with regard to the fact that AMU is a minitownship with largest number of residential students and people from degree colleges and small institutions and that of universitites that do not provide their students such facilities and previlages should avoid blaming the community for the unfortunate incidents that took place recently. Those who want the university to be closed are the real challenge for us and for the well wishers of this university in particular and this nation in general.
I think regionalism must be rooted out from this university. Whole community of Aligarians should cooperate to amu administration to make its current situation normal. Whole student community and teachers community should understand their responsibility, and all the people linking amu must perform their responsibility honestly. Insha-Allah one day this university will be like Oxford and cambridge univesities.
