Charity is the key
by N on Nov 02, 2007 07:02 PM  Permalink

If All well to families in Vidharbha who work and live in ZVidharbha or some where else in Maharashtra / India or outside India start giving 1 month of their salary in charity for these poor farmers then things can be changed to some extent.
ANyone can give and must give charity for this noble cause regardless of cast and creed but the possibility of some one from Vidharbha knowing needy and desrving people is higher than others.
Farmers comitting suicde because they not getting loans without interest from bank and can't pay back their debts.
Charity doesn't reduce wealth.
All of us must think of giving 1 full months salary in charity duing 1 year and help people get educated , get food and set up some small business etc and try to share the load of our poor relatives, neighbours and friends etc.

What else can I say..?
by Shankar Shinde on Nov 02, 2007 10:54 AM  Permalink

Friends,
This is really great news to hear amidst of corruption, conversion, hatred, terror that one great (mahatma) soul is changing the lives of the poor farmers who are neglected by everyone and left to die of debts. I salute and bow at feet of Sri Sri Ravishankarji. I salute the spirit of these yuvacharyas for their service to the villagers...I love the spirit of our Adhyatma (Spirituality) for it's universal appeal. I love Sri Sri for his wisdom and his love for humanity and.. Of course his service to humanity for sake of love for humanity and not for converting....Hope others will learn from him as well..........

good work
by RamRam on Nov 02, 2007 10:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sri Sri is doing a great job, which none from the govt could do. Sri Sri would not be funded by the govt since the org does not fall under secularism. At least Sri Sri does this job w/o the rule of conversion, as the christian missionaries do at any given opportunity. Hail Sri Sri.

Good news after a long time
by A G on Nov 02, 2007 09:24 AM  Permalink

This is really good news and hats off to Sri Sri. If all the good, spiritual leaders of India from all religions come together, we can change the face of this nation within a short period. It is the intellectual dishonesty which prevents this. Also our 3rd rate politicians would hate any such coming together. We, the Indians should support all such positive activities.

RE:Donation Givers - Beware
by Siddhartha Deb on Nov 02, 2007 08:49 AM  Permalink
You are absolutely correct. HelpAgeIndia is another such organisation who collects money 'for a cause' and the majority is distributed to the Christian Missionary Institutes. This is taking place in Assam according to one of their own fund collectors visiting various schools.

RE:Breathing technique
by anir on Nov 02, 2007 04:05 AM  Permalink
Well, it is really applicable for all who have an open mind, and that includes Modi.

But closed-minded people hate it - like those who have set-up business of conversion under the disguise of secularism and religious freedom.
