First thing Maya ji should do is to take immediate action to improve law and order situation and install some confidence in the people of UP in general and in western U.P. in particular. She should also see that jusice is done to the people of Nithari where the criminals rule and under their nose raping the kids and eating their meat in pressure cooker

i bet mulayam will not be arrested by mayavati. only we fools think like. just think in spite of being in power for so many years mulayam did not arrest mayavati though he culd have done that through many ways by lodging false cases on her. these politicians have some secret understanding and they know that if they go overboard and arrest their opponenets then once they loose power they too will end up in jail

Its better to outsource leadership in UP. People in UP are the Best workers ever in India. Only their political leaders are outright criminals. leadership shud go to some real clean leaders like RR Patil of Maharashtra, AK Anthony the Defence gy or rather George Fernandes to name a few. Else, irrespective of a Mulayam or Mayawati or Kanshi, UP will go the dogs.
in the up election, only mayawati has gained. all other parties sp, bjp and congress (despite massive campaigning b the dynastic members, 50000 letters of sonia in urdu to muslim moulavis etc) have lost miserably. mayawati's gamble of fielding 86 brahmins have played the trick.
instead of the politburos involved in fighting for seats ,the president should appoint smart iitians and mba grads executionary powersso that they give all the goondas of up a tough time

Almost all parties in India get their votes on devisional basis. Some for upper cast, some for lower, some for some religion etc. Wii India ever get a party to make the governement with only principles and development without any perticulat votebank ?????

Shouldnt we be blamed for it as Indians and as voters. If someone wins due to casteist politics or politics of religion, dont you think the voters should be blamed for it. Isnt it said of democracy that you get what you deserve? I have seen discussion going on here and people praising Mayawati and condemning congress and BJP on grounds of communal politics and things like that but dont you think Mayawati also comes in the same category. She proudly claims bringing Brahmin votes in her ambit. She is also of the same category. The difference is thta she played her caste card better than others :)
