Mayawati has done something Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar could have been proud of. Uniteing the different castes to bring them togather is a major achivement in India's history. Caste wars benefitted a few narrow minded politicians, as they used it to leash terror and fear in the minds of poor Indians. Dalits/SC/ST have shown that they are the most Secular of Hindus in India. Mayawati's win is a milestone in Indian politics and has won the hearts of all Indians as she begans to deliver on her promise to people in UP and India.

Agreed. All the other political parties were USING Dalits. And throwing them after grabbing power. I read about Mayawati. It was heartening to know that she has BA. LLB and BEd degrees. She served as teacher. And also as a labour leader. I think she didn't had the numbers earlier, now with proper strength she will work for the cause of ordinary people of UP.

Dalits need a separate nation, no quota will help, congress losing this election shows , quota is not an issue.

Dear Sicillian, Mayavatiji's right hand man Mr. Satish Chandra Mishra is a Brahmin.
I am dreaming of Karunanidhis and Mayawatis advancing towards centre stage of Central politics. Even dreamt of Mayawati as PM and Karunanidhis as Home minister. And Sushil Kumar Shinde as president.
My village in UP has still not got electricity after 60 years of independence. Nor will it get after Mayawati.
Only change in UP or India will come from people themselves, who by working hard will bring an economic transformation of the country, eventually. Not from these low life politicians from either SP or BSP or BJP or Congress etc.

STATE LIKE UP REQUIRES LOT MONEY TO ADMINISTOR AND GIVE BASIC FACILITY TO THE PEOPLE,THEY DON'T HAVE RESOURCES TO MAKE MONEY, AND THEY BEGG FROM SOUTH INDIA AND SLOWING DOWN THE SOUTH. THE ENTIRE UP'S EARNINGS ARE LESS THAN ONLY ONE HYDERABAD CITY.
