Probably, this is the qualification that has catapulted her to this position. If people of UP fancy her what is your problem. Dont you see only criminals being elected and ruling. Dont people who are voting them in dont know their background. If they dont know they must pay for their ignorance and if they know so shall they reap.

Mr pal, I dont think this disrespect of women in genral. He is specific abt the lady in question and we all know how simple and what is the level of her thinking. It is evident whenever she opens her mouth. Let us face the facts and do not take a cover behind the decency and simplicity Gandhiji has taught us.

Dalits want reservation but they dont want to challenge upper caste with merit.
Dalits blame brahmins,thakurs,banias for their downtrodden life but they accept reality
Naryan Murthy was son of poor school teacher,he is now Heading Infosys -He was brahmin.Did he got degrees thru reservation? Did he started his company thru subsidies????
Dhirubhai Ambani-worked in petrol bunk before becoming most powerful biz man of India.Now reliance is among top 150 companies of world-He was Bania -Did he fought for reservation? did he asked for reservation? And mind you he was not even educated but still managed to start an empire!!
Show me single Dalit enterprenuer? Single dalit world class lawyer? Doctor? Crickter?Sportperson?
Where do we find dalits? In politics,in govt offices,and they corrupt India.
Since dalits came into teaching profession.Teaching standard of India has gone down and this is for all to see.This is pratcial example.Just giving reservation will not solve problem.
If these dalits want to come up in life they should compete and not beg for reservation.
Dalits professionals are substandard due to reservation.They dont work hard because they know that even minimum pass percentage will ensure them admission in college and later job in any govt offices.
Shame on ppl who call Mayawati as great leader.
We need leaders like MODI,SM Krishna,Chandrababu Naidu,ABJ Abdul kalam
.., and the game of musical chairs continues in UP. How will it be nay different this time around? Has Mayawati come out any wiser from her previous experience? Only time will tell.
I want to Set up my own software company in UP (!Noida). I want to know if the governement is friendly there and what about Gundaism in Lucknow ? Are there any IT parks in Lucknow ?

My friends in US ridiculing our Political system,i feel so ashamed to call Mayawati as CM of Largest state of India.
See her dress sense,she her gawdy jewels,her corse language.Teacher my AS*.In UP and Bihar anyone can get Degree by paying few bucks! Its shame we elect people like Maywati as CM.World is laughing at us and right so,After all we were coolies in 1857,we will be coolies in 2057!!!

Quadir bhai, Bahut gusse me ho. Dont get emotional. Looking better(nor sarcastic, in the same sense you mean it) and looking stronger are two diffrent things. No doubt she is stronger, as it is evident. For other virtue pl. wait and see and you will come to know.
With her thumping victory in the elections, Mayavati has proved that she is the force to reakoned with. Her Social Engineering formula had worked and had paid her rich dividends.This should be the kind of pluralistic society that she has adopted - giving due recognition to all the religions,caste and creed forgeting the past.Alas for the other parties they were just dividing the people on the basis of caste,creed and what not.They had to lick their own boots!These were the modern days "Britishers" dividing the nation and ruling. A tolerant society with respect to all is the need of the hour. Mayavati is the first true politician to bring all the different ideological thinking people on one platform. No Indian in his right senses want violence on the basis of caste,religion etc. All want to live in peace and prosper.It is only when some want to gobble the maximum of the natures bountiful that clashes start and then it takes an ugly turn of caste, religion race etc. It is the duty of the politicians to keep all the different Religion people on one Indian platform. But for their narrow sightedness and to come to power by hook or crook - everyone suffers barring few.I hope a new Dawn has come in UP and lets hope that there is Prosperty, Peace and equality everywhere in UP. You morons, the very Bhaiyaas are the largest community group in India, almost 19%. They are not united right now under one political party. Just wait and see.. as long as Democracy stays alive in India with fair elections, the rightful owners will prevail.
The real oppresors of the Dalits are not the Brahmins but the OBCs. Brahmins never had the guts to speak against those in power and always allied with them. So Brahmin-Dalit alliance can both save Hinduism and free Dalits from the oppression of the OBCs.

I think that the main issue here is the failure of Hindu society to get rid of birth based caste system and not listening to what Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati said in early 19th century. This is also a failure of Aryasamaj. I appeal to Aryasamajis to become little bit aggressive. Aryasamaj is not only about doing Havans: Instead, hold demonstrations before Hindu temples worshipping monkey (Hanuman was not monkey but a Yogi) and elephant gods, challenge orthodox Hindus for religious debates similar to what Maharishi Dayanand did in his life time, confront orthodox Hindu priests, take the message of Maharishi Dayanand to the masses. We should strive to get rid our society of birth based Caste system, Superstitions and Idol worship. Let every Hindu come back to the true Vedic Religion. If we do not do this then our Hindu (I prefer to call Vedic) society will be destroyed and torn into pieces. Make sure that no one worships in these so called Hindu temples. Probably we can use our ancient temples as tourist attractions--like ancient Greek temples.

There should be big alliance among Brahmins,Dalits and Muslims against other upper class/OBC. Other upper castes ruled evry state and exploited these 3 castes.So,let these 3 change India finally.Then only India can become powerful and superpower.

But brahmins, dalits of TN in south, Maharashtra in center, UP in North are different from eachother. Besides that, Congess's stronghold for more than 40 years was brahmins, dalits and muslims and congress now is not in power in big states like Karnataka, TN, WB, UP, Bihar, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Uttarkhand and MP and it will lose the next elections in Maharashtra and Andhra. So your combination lost it's sheen. What we need is a grand Hindu alliance.
