Mayawati A New Stalwart
by pradeep kumar on May 11, 2007 12:50 PM  Permalink

We should respect the democratically elected government in UP. At least in this free and fair election the people of UP has given their verdict. Now no media masala and if and buts. Mayawati has become a new stalwart among the new breed indian leadership. This verdict is the 80 percent peoples hope of UP.Why to think of past of only Mayawati why not all the leadership of all the spectrum of India. Wfat good they brought to the nation in this 60 years of independence. Now more powerfull government should work for the welfare of the state without any prejudice to caste and creed as in Bihar now.

by ashish sinha on May 11, 2007 12:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i think he should learn something from the results. votebank appeasing policies like reservation in IITs and IIMs is not going to do any good to congress party.

He is least bothered. The old fox with a smile on his face and twinkle in his eyes has been always preoccupied all his political carrer in creating communal and cast related mischiefs to the detriment of his own party.Strange, he still has a hold on the party!

A master stroke by Behenji
by pranab banerjee on May 11, 2007 12:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

She has now transcended her earlier political immaturity and come to be liked by a wider section of the people. She should think a hundred times before taking support of unprincipled party like Congress who are in grip of the Left parties .Mulayam and Amarji, perceived as shameful freinds of terrorists, criminals, retrogrades and corrupt, could not fool the people even by using purchased personalities such as Amitabh and Jaya.Rahul Gandhi has been proved to be joke;principled Congressman should organise behind Varun Gandhi to restore Congresses' old glory and dignity.BJP must agressively uphold the saffron while supporting progress, peace and prosperity for all people.

very true.

She has indeed matured as a politician. Other all parties didn't had confidence in them and were hiring nautanki-walas/walis to fool the voters, and banking on other superficial measures.

Mayawati on the other hand was busy winning support of other sections of the society at the grassroot level.

With a wider representation in the party, people of UP will be more comfortable with her policies. And because of the clear majority she can also focus on balanced development, for she has to worry less about other shaky partners.

Mayawati is certainly better administrator than Mulayam. And unlike Mulayam, Mayawati does not hate hindus. She has a balanced mind and a much better CM than Mulayam.
