I think the vaccum created by the demise of Pramod Mahajan is visible.

No, BJP has to clearly state whether they care for the upper cast votes or will go on supporting the rich OBCs. They should support reservation for economically backword Class instead of Other Backword Castes. Still there is time to think and take some bold steps, like Mayawati. I do not know how Mayawati would rule UP, but I believe people generally do not commit past mistakes.

I think what is visible is the demise of the BJP, Congress, and humanity in general.

now that bsp government will be formed on its own majority this election results are a watershed in the political history of India.the day is not far off when a full pledged bsp government will be formed in newdelhi.its a slap on the face of elite dominated media which is far removed from the ground realities.leaders do not born from the magazine covers nor are they cloned in the tv studios.i am not a great fan of mayawati but at the same time i must say in many ways she is a trend setter in Indian politics I admire her for that.

by Amit Arora on May 11, 2007 01:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If only 45% of people come for vote and choose the Rulling Party to Govern, Should we call it Democracy when 55% donot like to vote for various reason. (just to correct ...not defending those people who dont vote).

Indian Voter has become smart !
by prakash kumar on May 11, 2007 01:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I laughed hilariously when I saw those posters of Rahul - Silver spoon in the mouth - "Gandhi".

What does this guy was thinking while campaigning. People are idiots like they were back in 50s and 60s when they voted for another spoiled kids like Nehru, Indira etc. Indian voters has become way smart and if you think you can be having fun with your columbian girl friend in US half of the year and campaign the remaining year for votes in UP, with only questionable qualification of last name of Gandhi, Kid forget it.

But I will be honest with you and if I were lucky like you to have a italian citizenship like you, I would rather be settling in Italy where girls are prettier and life is much smoother.

Aperson making a statement like "I would rather be settling in Italy where girls are prettier and life is much smoother." has no right to comment on as Indian politics.

If you are not in the system then you can not change the system.

Positive factors
by ShahBohra Associates on May 11, 2007 01:17 PM  Permalink

There are two positive factors, one is clear majority will help in stable govt.,no horse trading. so the govt. can concerntrate on other things than saving the chair. What shall be these other things, either development or total corruption and dictatorship, only God knows. The other good thing is Mayawati came to power with support of all castes and communities. So, there should not be any revenge or favourism for any caste or community.
