You guys are backward because your nature, that is why you keep parroting old rotten execuses. If Ambedkar who was very-very poor from a village could come up in life in 100 year back India then with all reservation for last half century why you guys still need breast feeding?

Why do you need uncle-should-help-me attitude, because you guys know you are really inferior to face competition

Why the backwards keep cribbling? Ambedkar asked for 10 years we gave them 60 years.

Also if Ambedkar himself comeup in life without reservation it shows one with real class will always succeed & 60 years of reservation support is god gift.

Then what is the excuse? Some genetic inferiority has developed in these reservation peple? One thing is certain they keep harping like old gramaphone record.....

qweqwe, you have typical Brahmin mentality. What do you mean "Brahmins are a billion times superior to you beggars"??? Brahmins dont have two wings and dont fly in air that they become superior.

Caste System is flourishing because of people like you who still consider brahmins are superior. Unless you get rid of this kind of thinking, caste system and reservation would continue.

Violewnce continues in R'jsthan - toll up
by Bodh Ramdeo on May 31, 2007 06:10 PM  Permalink

There can be little doubt of a sinister hand behind this violent Gujjar agitation - it's too well plannned and organized to be spontaneous. The $64 question: who stands to gain most from destabilising the govt? Find out who's been pushing quotas as the only remedy for social development and you'll find out who behind this attempt to bring down the Rajasthan govt through violence.

Why do keep repeating old American President's dialogue? Public sector is not performing well so govt is disinvesting (this is proof how quota syatem can harm the growth AS ORGANISATION RUN BY PEOPLE )

Since so fare there is no reservation in private sector the success of private sector is proof, that progress can be made by hiring people on merit basi s

agree with u Nidhi............We not only have rights.....we have our duties for the nation...........in fact this congress regime should be an eye opener for all.........it is able to manipulate us bcause we have not done our duties in past........

In India the majority of the voters are largely ignorant.......The more people r educated....the less politicians / religious teachers ......can fool them.......

we cannot be fooled by an uneducated italian waitress.........and make her our PM......if everyone is educated enough......

In fact all of us should take a pledge......of doing something for the nation..........
we can teach in schools during holidays.........we can go to u r nearest village and give a scolarship for the student who competes into Univ without reservation.....finance his education......and ask him to do the same when he gets a job.....we can do a lot....

we have to work tirelessley to remove the ignoracne in our society........ only then will this maliase end.........

There must be no reservation
by Rehana on May 31, 2007 05:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In fact there must be no reservation of any kind. The people who are scanned out to be deprived must be give free food, free cloths, free books, school-college fee exempted and such facilities but the competition of any kind must be fair, entrances, appointments must be fair and without any reservations, then only the society can improve. The expenditure on such free facilities must be made out of the money which is being spent on these thug and rogue politicians. The facilities of these politicians must be curtailed.
Gandhiji had envisaged the reservation for only 10 years after independence but Congress for want of votes continued it and now has pushed our country in turmoils.

I think you guys are misunderstanding Rashid. He is being satirical and trying to show the attitude of a common Indian. Many people dont talk big but act small and Rashid is trying to show that thinking of a common Indian.

As Abhinvav said education is the key. If enough voters are educated they can think about right and wrong and wont be exploited by politicians for votebank.

Govt and Politicians will never undertake any effort to educate the masses. It is upto concerned Indian citizens to educate the masses by whichever way possible. Maybe educating people in your locality might be a good beginning

Mr Seth is very much right. But dont u think guys that somewhere we are also at fault by not VOTING. we only blame politicians .Politicains are nerds especially congress who are taking our country nowwhere. WE all educated people should come together to change this system. its of no use discussing here on this forum.Govt only arranges for SC/ST and hutments to vote wat abt us.. we software professioanls travel for job in different cities. they should make one single identity card so that we can vote in any city provided only once.. why not technology is used in our country.. only solution to this is we all educated people coming together against this filthy system.. we should be ashamed.. a waitress of other foreign country is ruling our country.. why did all great freedom fighters fight to free our country..... if govt wants to uplift those people give them free promary and secondary education .. give them even 11th and 12th free education.. after that let them go ahead on merits... why so easy way only for SC/ST and backwards.. give them a good foundation in their scholl for free rest MERIT will decide.. this is good.. they score 20 30% rite from school and they get reservations where ever they go.. now they will soon get reservation in IIM and IIT and soon they will get reservation in provate sectors.. wow where the hell our country is heading.. if congress stays back for long india is gone for ever... congress knows how to get votes.. from minorities.. they wont do anythi

RESERVATION POLICIES
by Pradeep Chandra on May 31, 2007 05:12 PM  Permalink

I think right person should be included in reservation, who really deserve/require it, It become now like a single/some community are getting reservation even many of them are in much better placed and their childrens , their grand childrens are getting reservations... It can create frustration to other communities and I think it is the responsibility of government to make some policies so that those who have already availed reservation, their childrens should not be allowed to availed reservation. And always there is inclusion of community in reservation category whether it is ST, SC or OBC, why there is no REMOVAL of community from this reservation list.
If there is no community that can be removed from reservation list after providing reservation for many years, then I think their can be two possibility. Either the reservation policies are poorly planned or it is just a political issue now. AND NOW TIME HAS COME TO LOOK AND THINK AGAIN ABOUT ALL RESERVATION POLICIES.
