The Enron of Journalism
by Sanjeev Sharma on Jun 05, 2007 01:54 PM  Permalink

Prafool Bidwai is to jornalism what Enron was to corporate accounting and business ethics.

Rest assured that by associating with people like Sandeep Pandey (and his wife) and Prafool Bidwai, Rediff will certainly go down the toilet, just like 'The Hindu' has payed in terms of its credibilty by having a known China worshipper like N. Ram at the editorial board.

The JNU (nut)Case
by Sanjeev Sharma on Jun 05, 2007 05:30 AM  Permalink

That this worthy is a professor at nation's worst academic disaster i.e. JNU is certainly no coincidence.

I believe ProFOOL has done his bit of work to give JNU the reputation it has acquired, of a place where where teachers are nuts and students are traitors who love to gift away indian territory to China....maybe the PRO-FOOLS professors have earned the money China pays them.

Lies, Damn Lies and Bidwais
by SheelaButt on Jun 02, 2007 10:08 AM  Permalink

The British journalist robert Fisk lid so much that people would go through his articles line by line refuting each and every single line. This became a word in the English language called "FISKING".
Bidwai lies so much and so selectively and so slyly that we should have a new word in English to describe his style of lying called "BIDWAING" where the root word would be a special ultra lie called "BIDWAI'

Need of Hour,
by bharat on May 31, 2007 10:00 AM  Permalink

If a doctor commits mistake and somebody suffer, law punishes him.

If any other service provider cheats the consumer, - consumer has the right for compensation.

if an individual misguides court, he risks trial.

Same should apply to police. They are paid for this.

police brings case to court without properly investigating, and criminal become aquitted- Blame falls on court. They say 'LAW is Blind. nay.. Law is not Blind... Police is LAME and Headless.!!

Why police pretends to be taken by surprise if a criminal is freed by court, Court acts on the same constitutional system which police is supposed to be aware of. It is police's fault if they fail to understand the nature of their duty, and the likely outcome of the proofs presented by them, NOT fault of COURT.

There is an ugent need to take following steps:

If police detains somebody, it must be able to give convincing proof of his/her involvement in the court. a failure in this should amount negligence and failure to discharge its duty. Some type of punitive measure should exist to deter such negligence.

Arresting alive should mean SUCCESS . Encounter means half success.

Encounter does not mean the chapter is over.. Now police MUST prove that the person killed was a criminal of a level whose death can be tolerated.

Encounter should not be considered for merit/ promotion. as it blocks any chance of exposing the sponsor of the crime, leading to speculation and rumor rather than concrete evi

The days of personal army are not far....
by vivekanand on May 31, 2007 09:13 AM  Permalink

It is Police mistake if they think a respected paediatrician and very much hindu activist can be harassed in this way.

Dr Sen deserves a salute for his courage, integrity and selflessness.

There is no doubt he will be aquitted, but Point is: Who is responsibile for curtailing freedom of a concientious Indian.???

Meeting a maoist with police consent is far bigger crime. Our elite police has detained many people, after recovering few thousands rupees and a mobile set as the sole proof of involvement in anti national activities.

If governments work like this, then days of chaos are not far, when every mla ,Mp, mayor and gram pradhan will have personal army, waging war against each other for territory and influence.....A TOTAL CHAOS AND LAWLESSNESS....that appears the dream of many KHAKIs

Chinese Communist dictator had odd habits
by Mao TsePong on May 30, 2007 09:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mao Zedong (below), the Communist dictator of China from 1949 until his death in 1976, had strange habits. For one, he never brushed his teeth. In response to his doctor's pleas to brush, Mao reportedly replied "A tiger never brushes his teeth." As a result, Mao's teeth looked as if they were coated with green paint.

mao also never took bath like a tiger - another mao quote: "My genitals were washed inside the bodies of my women"

note that many mao's quotes contain the word tiger.

fyi, most tiger parts are smuggled to china for sale.

dearest praful,
i'm very much impressed with your thoughts.
i would also like to know your views on pakistani terrorists who are busy in revolutionize our poor and UNLAWFUL country.
we should close our army program immediately to protect them.
no police should arrest those cute and innocent monsters.
the terrorists should be given licenses to kill.
and rediff should be given the best web site of the world.

Aamin.

Dr Sen is neither a Paki nor terrorist.

By doing injustice we can only increase grievances, resulting in more people resorting to arms.

Our army general accepted that atrocities done by army are major cause of failure to curb militancy in kashmir. He insists on need of winning hearts.

It is very easy to label somebody communist, if he does not fit to your 'Fool's paradise.
