World over, including Russia and China the communists have changed. But in Kerala and West Bengal ,they are still dogmatic at the cost of progress of these states.Budhhadev Babu in WB ,is trying to change ,but like the proverbial crab ,the his leftist collegues would not let him budge.Longest serving ex chief minister Jyoti Babau, has thoroughly ruined the work culture of bengal and however hard he may try, it would be almost impossible for Buddhadev Babu to come out of the grave dug by his predecessor. However ,his effort to change despite all the opposition is commendable as finally realisation has dawned on them that they have been left far behind as progressive state after clinging to a derelict dogma which is almost dead world over. Not only China & Russia ,even Vietnam is far more progressive than these communist states.Wake up and don't live in the psudo intellectual world.

And what 'progress' would you associate with states like TN, AP, Maharashtra, Gujarat, UP, Bihar etc. that Kerala has missed, Mr. Narain ?
If you care to answer, we can start a very interesting debate !

Please don't get agitated. Lots of Keralites are going to other states in search of opportunites. I know many of them. Very intelligent and good natured People. It is a a shame that the state loses these people for want of better opportunities.I think all Keralites should support the CM so that Kerala doesn't lose its intellectual pool. This will help Kerala and India.
Iam happy that Shenoy has written an article praising Achuthanandan though partially clouded by his frustration . Shenoy is a well known marxist/kerala basher and quiet surprisingly he is forced to write all good things about Achu. Now i need Rediff to ask Rajeev Srinivasan to write an article about the topic. He once got a mouthful from sensible keralites in this forum, would like to see more fun.

Even if he is a BJP sympathizer, that does not prevent him from reporting truth. Even I admit that I am a BJP supporter and communist ideology is an allergy to me. However, what VS is doing is admirable. It is said that next he is targeting those who are exploiting the rivers by illegally taking sands. It is anopther pressing matter which needs immediate attention.

Shenoy is a well known writer of facts and truth. He wrote the truth what Achuthandan doing in Kerala, Yes Mr. Achu is the one of two uncorrupted politician in Kerala among UDF and LDF other on is AK Antony. Mr. Achuthanandan started correcting the mistake of communists done for the society since they formed.

Rajeev Srinivasan has selective blindness; his is a mind that refuses to see or acknowledge anything that remotely threatens to reflect poorly on his perverted doctrines.
Even if he were to write about Mr. Achuthanandan's enterprise at liberating an entire state from the clutches of the mafia, he would slant and colour his report to pander to his select constituency - the one that sees any topic from behind it's communal blinkers; objectivity be damned !
I extend my honest support to Shri Achuthandan, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala. He is doing best things for Kerala. But his subordinates like Pinarai and Kodiyeri will not allow him to do the things smoothly. Therefore I request to people of Kerala irrespective any politicvaly parties they belongs to - please supoort his good activites with good intention. If he doing any worng thing you can voice against him. Shri Achuthanadan likes such things.
Ultimately the right thought of many translated into action. Today I was upset of the news of sabotage in the operation in Munnar by certain section within the team itself. This should be checked. No favouritism or neppotism shoul be allowed. The action should be impartial, none should be spared irrespective of party politics, big or small. The concern here is, our vital machinery like Revenue, Income Tax and Local governments - all have been functioning in the premise that they are unquestionable and corruption is their inlienable right. And Police departments...and so on. But it is proven now that if there is willingness, all these can be set right and that the need as a first step towards development. Allocating fund in the name of assistance alone will not help to servce the purpose, but it is very necessary to be ensured that the money has spent for the relevent purpose. It is learnt that the CDS offices with whom entrusted the fund for asraya and similar programmes. Given to learn that none of these CDS committee headed by a President (eligible candidate from Kutumbasree Units) and Member Secretary (who is from Govt. dept.) keep a proper accounting system of exppenses, auditing or reports/minutes regarding the decisions/actions taken. Many a times it happened so that subsequent elected committee members have to satisfy with whatever the previous office bearers tell them while handing over the records. Thus if this goes unchecked for long, there will be accummulated financial irregularities which at a later stage will be very difficult to sort out. Though they are doing voluntary social work, no one is averse in providing them conveyance and other expenses but they should not be allowed to misuse the funds alloted. This is a general statement in the light of certain grapevines and I do not want to single out any particular punchayat or CDS committee in this respect. Why I am concerned is that recently I heard Govt. is going to allot all funds for development through CDS committees. They should be made aware of the need to be honest and swindling money will be tantamount to severe offence. A periodical inspection from the respective officers will bring down this tendency altogether. The government officers, and all public servants should understand that it is th inlienable right to enjoy their sincerity and honesty in service, for which they are paid well. I am very sure there will be a wind of changes in the attitude - in the general public as well as the people in positions. Thanks.
the ravishing resorts and other illegal constructions in munnar and all over the state costed us both the environment and economy. should it not be checked by someone, the scenario will continue until the last piece of land remains. until this day the people who were responsible to counter these encroachments, overlooked the facts and instead impeded those who tried to resist it for whatsoever reason. now theer is one man who has the balls and power to bot question it and lash them. Sakhavu~(comrade)is doin nothin wrong. if these resorts nad buildings are safeguarded and taken over by govt, eventually it shall fall back in the hands of these criminals as the culprits are politicians themselves. besides that its a strong message to those offenders thinking they are invincibles and will not be questioned by anyone. now there is this one man rising against those selfish evils who has made a fortune for their 5 generations by staking the lives of millions of poor and powerless people who are left to see, bear, and tolerate these vicious deeds. now we keralites and whole indians are watching what changes it can make when atleast one in the power dares the evils. see, how the officers who are not stunk by corruptions does their duty. and the whole keralites are standing single hearedly with the CM not because they are sadistic, but this is what they wanted and always want to do but was helpless due to 'n' number of resons. we poor keralites had have the oppertunity to see the prevailance of good only in movies, not in real life until now. this is what everyone want. the curroption should be controlled. thats what VS is trying to do. if its done we can see wer our little green state will be standing not only in the countries, but also on the worlds economical map considering the potential it has. I hope this is only a beginning and thers a lot to be done and i pray to GOD to give Achuthanthan the health and power to overthrow these dirty games from our state.

I guess you are right When he was in the opposition, I used to hate him the most and considred him anti-development, pro-nepotic but you know there are some people who are bad at criticizing but extremely good at the top. We have already seen a lot of buffoons who were damn good when they were in the opposition but were nuts when they got the Govt. The problem with any coalition is that all factions have to agree for any action - since an agreement never happens, there is always inaction and just in group politics and intra party maligning. During the last rule, it was Karunakaran playing the spoil sport. Though he was not very effective he was at least instrumental in keeping the Govt from making any good actions - Antony, a very promising opposition leader turned CM was tamed like a donkey - was made to sit tightlipped and hands folded. Here VS is having the same situation - What has he done? He has prevailed over his opponents in the party. Pinirayi, the Karunakaran next, will face much harder fate than Karunakaran himself. All Lavlin, Vediyunda and Munnar will demolish him for ever; not even a senile Pawar will take him with him.
The present CM of Kerala is known destruction, not for construction. The party he represents is the reason for the pathetic state of Kerala state presently. Communists live in stone age. They have not any clue of what is happening outside world. For them the governed countries are North Korea, Cuba & China (Tianen men massacre era.
I don't support land grabing mafia in anywhere. What's happening in Kerala at present is discriminate action by a Govt who do not have the guts to punish the real culprits. The CM is only trying to polish his image. His govt does nothing when DYFI & SFI goons take the law into their hand and behave like barbarians.
Thought of putting my ideas together an improvising a country as a whole .But that wont work because if you want to target a country to grow at least it has one thing in common At least a common language,or a common religion or a common culture(like a moderate ,liberal or an orthodox) a or a common political party or something common which I am not able to recollect .but in a country like India It is not possible at all there are tons of differences .Propose any thing very good also there would be some differences .So I am going back to my state kerala .Which has got immense potential to rise .Most of keralites are liberal in their thoughts and religion because of that we wont see much clashes in the name of religion it is only seen in Places like Malapuram Which is less exposed to light and is turning around very fast.
You won?20AC%u2122t see very poor people as you see in Any other parts of India even beggars are imported from other sates .Kerala is predominately a consumer state no production as much. People are more over happy living in a day to day life .I can suggest some Ideas for the growth of a particular state like Kerala
Kerala Government to should start some Things
< BR>
1) Health insurance Scheme
This is a very simple scheme .Like very one in kerala would be economically at least sound to pay a sum of 20 Rs per month to this Kerala Health fund With a population of 3.5 cores Government can easily get a sum of 60 corers per month .So now onwards All the medical treatment should be completely free for every individual even in all private hospitals. Government would pay the hospitals how much ever was spend. It would be working idea since the number of people sick in kerala is less that 10% of the population other than some epidemic. That is a free health to all keralites
< BR>
2) Tourism Sector
This is one sector which has got immense potential of growth. Once a tourist reaches Kerala he should be give complete booklet containing which all places to visit ,hotels to stay taking the job away from travel agents whose who literally loots any tourist ,all taxi/Cab numbers should be there and with their specialties .There should efficient tourist enquiry Post in railway stations bus stand and airports .He or she should not go around asking people which palaces to see.
< BR>
3) Development what people would see
Every governments claim that it has done enough improvement in the GDP of kerala or increases the treasury of kerala which was left empty by the last ruling party.
But you go the Capital city?20AC%u2122s transport bus stand Just see the pathetic condition of the bus stand the urine shed see that sanitation facility it was the same from ruling party to party do some things that the public was visually see rather than putting up terms like GDP ,Growth index ,Economic stability. It is the same with all major cities in kerala.
< BR>
4) Education system
Now come to the education system .I have seen keralites are very intelligent compared to other people in other states .Then why is they are not coming up. Because of their lack of communication skills to present them self?20AC%u2122s. In kerala nobody specks in English what ever be the situation, if possible they would make foreigners also talk in Malayalam .That is why most of the keralites take a back seat in all organization they tend to more humble Only servants should be humble .while in north people just such show off even if they don?20AC%u2122t have anything to eat in house. So no point in makings kids study in Malayalam medium especially science subjects because father of science Isaac Newton was not a mallu. Only those people would support Malayalam who earn their living by their language that is Writers like ONV , Sugathakaumari etc I don?20AC%u2122t know many, or politicians who wont get many party workers and society leaders(kundanders).
< BR>
5) Small in beautiful
Small states like kerala has an specific advantage by its size .See UP, MP where chief minister would not know how many districts are there then what the people would know .You can travel entire state in a 12 hour time then Why in 60 years it not showing any significance in world map .Hopefully being with India doesn?20AC%u2122t give much restriction to growth of a state you cant say all our many is eaten up by center. It all because of the communist feeling in people of kerala Communist feeling is that restrict them to adopt any thing new How in the world communism came to kerala?? I don?20AC%u2122t know that. Communism in Bengal is much better than in that of kerala. Communists protested when TV came in late Seventies .Communist protested when Internet came It is communism which has ruined kerala Looks at how many industries are close because of employee strike they protest on MNCs. If it was the case let them not use Radio ,TV, laptops, Fridge ,bike Car, Bus, Train, Airplane ,pen ,pencil ,mike and even the shirt and trousers All of them were invented by a West or a European guy what did a Indian gave to the world ??? Are they not shame full to say that traveling in ford escort car. People who argue on swadesi should be put in a pit and spit over till they get drowned in the spit.
Kerala prospers in tourism. It is environmentally clean and possessing great scenic beauties. Really it is God's own country. Never mind for not having industries. Industries pollute irreversibly and consume lots of nature. Tourism brings in money.
