what purpose such discussion?
by Rajan Kumar on May 21, 2007 08:49 PM  Permalink

Is there any real purpose in having such non-sensical discussion, far from reality and logic, with abuses put towards one and another, with fake identities, and without any principle, purpose or accountability. Do such forums and discussions therein help anybody? or are they just furthering the cause of division and separation and mutual conflict in our country?

NEHRU SPOILT THE BROTH IN KASHMIR
by RM on May 21, 2007 08:38 PM  Permalink

HE DID NOT LISTEN TO PATEL AND GAVE PAKISTAN FEW HUNDRED CRORES WITH WHICH THEY BOUGHT ARMS AND ATTACKED US AND TOOK PART OF KASHMIR. THE PEOPLE OF INDIA SHOULD NEVER FORGIVE NEHRU AND THEIR FAMILY. KASHMIR WAS RULED BY A HINDU KING AND HE ACCEDED TO INDIA. THE HINDUS WERE KILLED AND DRIVEN OUT OF KASHMIR. INDIA HAS MORE MUSLIMS THAN OTHER MUSLIM COUNTRIES AND MORE THAN EVEN PAKISTAN. IN INDIA MUSLIMS GET MORE PRIVILEGES THAN THE HINDUS GET. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM OF KASHMIR STAYING WITH INDIA???

by D R on May 21, 2007 08:31 PM  Permalink

I dont know what he means when he says that pak has shown consideration. they are on sitting on our land man (POK). The pakis should be kicked out of there and the terrorists camps should be destroyed. There cannot be any consideration shown to terrorists. What about the constant blasts taking place in our country orchestred by pakistans ISI. Where is the consideration there. Kashmir is an integral part of India and it will stay like that for ever.

India needs to relax on kashmir issue...
by asdf on May 21, 2007 07:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India needs to relax on Kashmir issue. India has the might to retaliate if kargil like misadventure recurrs again in Kashmir which I don't think Pakistan will repeat. All pakistan can now do is:

1. Try and push India for talks and resolution of kashmir issue.

=> India has to be adamant and on its toes for this.

2. Continue the proxy war of sending in the trained militants. But Pakistan will not be able to continue the proxy as before due to international pressure on crushing terrorism.

=> Indian army has to continue thwarting the militants actions and the Indian government should continue to put pressure on Pakistan government to close down all the militant training camps.

Time will come when pakistan will accept the LOC as international border. But at this time, India should continue to pressure pakistan on vacating the POK. India has the economic and miliatry might to engage pakistan but Pakistan does not have that might to engage India for a long time...

The indian govt should always say on rthing loud and clear, that ia " kashmir is a part of india, and any solution accepting this fact is welcome" India should give majore concessions to kashmiris reagrding self rule etc, but the constitution and law of india has to prevail there. Kashmiris on the other hand should take advantage of the indian sucess story and live a prosperous and dignified life as kashmiri Indians.

well, according to me, if what the indian government has been screaming for decades about kashmir being indioan, and if this is right, than whereis the question of J & K beingindependent?
if not, then not only we should ease off on kashmir, but also our politicians should appologize for misleading the people of the country. Either kashmir belongs to India or it does not.

Jammu Kashmir
by suryakant agrawal on May 21, 2007 07:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I find weight in the proposal. All stakeholders must work with open mind. Let there be undivided Jammu Kashmir, comprised of area under India, Pakistan and China occupation. The three countries should withdraw the forces, election should be taken place under UN supervision. It should be made a secular state and people in exile from J & K should be allowed to go back to their homes. Any atrocities on Minorities in J & K should be treated sternly forfeiting its independence. Let Kashmirises decide what is good for them

Mr Suryakant Agarwal...if someone will ask for you one hand or anyother body part will you be willing to give that to him.
J&K is an integral part of india and cannot be parted with.
This comment of yours will hurt the feeling of all the Indian and mostly the people of Kashmir who have been suffering for so many years.
Please be a bit more responsible before saying anything on such a forum.

What open mind. Lets discuss Pakistan before discussing Kashmir. Let there be elections under UN supervision, let Pak be declared a secular state and people in exile should be allowed to go back. Any atrocities on minorites in Pakistan should be treated sternly forfeiting its independence. Let Pakistani's decide what is good for them.

Cannot stomach this. Then do not state your case for Kashmir.

Mr.Suryakant,Pl read history. Why Pakistan was created?Even If we give Kashmir,Pakistan will not keep mum. They will find out something new.ULFA want separate Assam, should we give?Nagaland to Naga.Khalistan to Sikh.In stead of that we should handover India to Pakistan. We cant have united India, we can have united Pakistan.Green Flag will be at top of Lal quila.Musharf will be your Prez& you will be free to practice any religion but not yours.

Dear Ashok,
I also held similar views like you in the past. But a sovereign has some obligations toward its subjects..We have to look inward and find out how have we been dealing with our fellow country men. The naxals are there because we ignored the needs of poor. A hungry man is an angry man. Our biggest enemies are illiteracy, poverty, underemployment... We are progressing on these fronts but its slow. So the differences are between haves and have nots..Same is situation in Pakistan. Its between ruling Punjabis and rest who are treated as inferior citizen
Holding a land without people mandate is like having a beautiful woman without a soul

Mr.Suryakant...thnks for ur nobel idea...but it wont work...because we indian will not give...even an inch..and what u have done for ur country to eradicate "illiteracy, poverty, underemployment" it is so simple to write but we aslo have to take responsibility and not the gov.only. If j& k will be made then the most profiting country will be usa and not india and pak. think startegically...
