Punishment for Sanjay Dutt
by Rajesh Vyas on May 16, 2007 01:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sir:
Take it from me-- No punishment will be given to Sanjay Dutt for several reasons cited underneath.
1. He is a Bade Baapka Beta--Son of a MP and a Minister who was very close to Ms. Sonia Gandhi

2. He is RICH and hence mighty.
3. Ther are very few officer adn people like AMARJEET SINGH SAMRA now left in the police and judiciary.
4. He has already put in 18 months in Jail, thanks to Samra saheb. So that should be enough punishment.
5. That was many years ago. Today in this country, the law for the Cobbler is not the same as for the GOLDSMITH. Sanjay belong to the latter category.

SO RELAX SANJAYBHAI and DEAR SANJU BABA, no harm will come your way. After all you are the reincarnation of the great Mahatma Gandhi--aren't you?

punish, but don't delay like this
by Anusha R on May 16, 2007 12:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

punish all the criminals, including Sanjay...but just for heaven's sake do not go on postponing the date of verdict..there is no harder punishment than giving dates every now and then.
at least once you pronounce the judgement, once the punishment is over, one can have a sigh of relief from this trauma.
I pity people like Sanjay...

If Guilty Punish him
by Paul Rufus on May 16, 2007 12:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I read in the few messages few fans terming his as their God. Man this heights of hero worshiping. he is just an actor who could make it to the silver screen due to father, also even after repeated failure he made it big. Well thats a different story.
If the charges are proved then he should be punished. Please do not make such noise that all politician go scot free and here is an actor who seems to be a changed man is being targetted. I stongly feel who ever has done somthing wrong will be punished in this life only, no matter how big the guys is.

But the society has to punish him bcos definitely he did some wrong. We have to reform the concept of punishment. He cannot chose his punishment.

I think he is definitely guilty of keeping the weapons. Also I believe he never knew the extent of damage his collaboration with the terrorists can cause. But not knowing the law is no excuse of being pardoned. He has to be punished. But we have to reform the concept of punishment. Punishment shud be to make the person realise that he has done wrong, but at the same time try to channel that guilt for the good of society which he has contributed in harming (or destroying if u like). Punishment leading to just destruction of the person pained by the guilty deed is of no use.

Punishment should be enough to impart fear in the society not to repeat the guilt. Pusnishment leading to self destruction of the culprit is not a subject worth discussion. is the culprit minor if not, is he not mentally sound at the time of committing crime or the case mey be - he was thinking that he can never be cought and ofcourse no one have knowledge of written laws if we do something wrong what shall be the quantum of punishment, I think atleast a lay man does not have.
Thanks

before any final verdict they should look at the circumstances when sanju involved. at that time small or big entrepreneur to politicial incouding major part of bollywoods were with Dawood directly or indirectly. so not to embrace sanju had a nexus only he was fool couldn't escape . so instead caught the big fishes involved he is only minnow.

What happened to Nithari Killings?
by ashok singh on May 16, 2007 12:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What happened to the so recent Nithari killings? Why is the media not focussing on that anymore? Or has the deal been fixed behind the curtains? I think Nithari was worse than Mumbai. Mumbai was heartbraking in terms of sound light and loss of life. But Nithari was devastating in terms of human debaseness. Why is the media not pursuing the Nithari killings anymore? Why r they following Sunjay Dutt in the stale Mumbai case where all investigation is almost complete?

Because, media has to make money! Simple!

go to sleep guys
by ashok singh on May 16, 2007 12:42 PM  Permalink

Go to sleep guys , tommorrow will be a nice day. Everything will be taken care off. The right punishment will be given taking all factors into account. Just relax. Have faith in at least some part of judiciary and law enforcement. This is not such a bad government as u think u contributed to electing. Neither as corrupt a judiciary as u think. Nor as corrupt police as u think. The system does work inspite of its obvious flaws.
