BJP has to realize the new realities of India. They are still in 1992 but they fail to realize that 15 years have past since then and its a new India which is more intelligent to understand their dirty and evil designs. India needs development not riots and killings.
The real Castism in Indian politics was started by Congress men, with the winning UP elections by Mayawati, they (cong)might be having a sleepless nights, since their bastion has been invaided by differnt polictical parties, like BSP, SP,RPI,ULD,JD, etc.on top of these congress is also Involved in wooing Muslims merely considering them as Vote banks,in UP Mulayam snatched away this chance also, now Cong has to do their home work better so that Only Indians vote them not, SC, BC, MUSLIM,YADAVS,BHRAMINS,JATS,ETC.( BUT THEY SHOULD EXPRESS THE REGRET FIRST FOR THE MESS THEY HAVE CREATED , APOLOGISE TO THE NATION )
BJP MP Maneka Gandhi wrote a letter to L.K. Advani to ask the Gujarat and Maharashtra party units to call off their campaign against artists whose works they do not like.
"We offend the entire cultural and thinking world" when an artist of the stature of M.F. Husain is forced into self-exile as a result of "continuous and unwarranted harassment" at the hands of activists of the party and the VHP.
She pointed out that Mr. Husain had been virtually hounded out of India -- forced to shuttle between London and Dubai -- while he should be living here and the country should have a museum displaying his works, instead of protesters considering which one of his paintings should be destroyed. He had done more than anyone else to bring Indian art to international notice. "It is a matter of disgrace to India that Shri Husain should be sitting in Dubai because of our persecution."
She also said that recently two students of the Fine Arts Faculty of M.S. University in Vadodara were arrested in Gujarat as some VHP and BJP activists claimed that their paintings, which were part of a private college project, hurt their sentiments. The activists attacked and damaged the paintings.
She said she had written to the Gujarat Chief Minister and Home Minister several times on the continued slaughter of cows in the State. "Gujarat is the State where the maximum number of cows have been going for slaughter,"

Dear Mr. sahadevan Let me remind you,the person who has abused our diety should have no place to stay,by the by what is your opinion regarding the ruckus created by the people of few neighbouring countries over some stupid danish article,Do we not have to atleast react if someone protrays one of our godess nude,or should we let every other idiots attack our beleifs,no matter how we pray & what we pray !! afterall every religion in this world were manufactured for community living, social harmony, law & order to co-exist. ( If the religion goes to extent of fanatism, you will have many Plestines,Israiles,Iraqs,Sudans,Libiyas, Bosnias,Irans, In India,
Caste politics will reach in the same pit where communalism fell down. Secularism is our corner stone.
Firstly the development of the UP, without any caste, creed or religion, is must. Free education, employment without money, increase infrastructure and distribution system etc. Because you have got the vote from all category of poor people like Muslims, Upper caste and Lower caste etc.
If you aim to Centre, the fate will be the same ofthe 'would be Prime Minister' like Sharat Pawar, Laloo Prasad Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Rajeev is right in highlighting that the caste system is simply group identity, which benifits the political class for manipulation. The communists who preach non caste based system are vehemently backing OBC reservations. Thier children are practioners of capitalism ( jyoti Basu's son is a Indusstrialist). Mayawati's victory should not be read as any socialogical realignment- she would be back with her "manuwadi" speaches and Ambedkar statues business. It is sad to see that BJP is not able to solve its internal squables and come out with a good winning team.

How is an intellectual more greater than the commoner in front of God ? Is not the intelligence given by God ?

Boss casteism was not created to show one person greater than the other. Its a classification based on the type of individual. THe moot point here is that this classification shouldn't be based on birth. It ought to be based on practise.
