I guess Narayan Guru is not Dalit, if she she is mentioning one fronm south.Narayana guru is from billava community in Karnataka and they are not dalits. Any idea? anybody clarify?
Every political party that can muster enough courage and has the strength (of votes), has a right to look for the PM's seat. Mayawati is no exception to this rule.
Good point about her are her ability to take strong and firm decisions and her new experiment of taking every-one along. I wish her success!
Just Imagine we if we have Mayawati as Prime Minister after A B Vajpayee, Dr. Moanmohan Singh..Sounds really absurd..The question here is not of being Dalit since in the world's largest democracy, evrybdy has a rite to lead the country if he or she has the credentials..Education bakground is one necessary pre requisite, though it can be contradicted by saying wat was Dr. MG Ramachandran..But look wat he has done to Tamil Nadu, look at his achievements..the quesion is here is not caste, not education, not grut, not detrminition, it is just the vison to serve the country in the most righteous manner. Let her be the PM, but she shud ask herself that does she knw Economics, does she knw wat is people's welfare, does she knw wat is India's vision for 2020..The most important thing is vison; the vision nt to occupy PM chair, but to a vision to hold one of the highest offices to et an opprtunity to save the country..Welcome to Delhi.Ms. Maya..the mission is on for u and I m sure there will be someone better than u to crush ur mission..

I am agree with you Raghu... she got majority in only UP due to her new engineering and SP. She should not forget that delhi abhi door hai aur door he nahi unkke liye namunkin hai. Abhi india ke itne bure din nahi aaye hai aur indian public know who is desire for the PM.
I think mayawati is better than mulayam sing yadav... But if she comes to center then you wont see any improvement in the country.. People of UP is just given her a chance to prove if she is really for the people cause people they are fed up with the mulayam singh yadev. I dont think both of them can do anything good for the state Cause there is too much corruption in the state.
Buoyed by her unexpectedly huge success in Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, Ms. Mayabati naturally suffers from an euphoria about her own and her party's future. She might be privately relying on Swami Vivekananda's prophecy in the 1920s that India would have a 'Sudra Raj', some day, when the wheel of Time would turn full circle so that the untouchables, whom Mayavati calls 'dalits' avenge the hatred and ill-treatment of them by upper-caste Hindus. In this, her rival would be the Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad Jadav whose wife, Rabri Devi once said, "howsoever you folks may laugh at my husband's boorishness, one day he will ascend the chair of Prime minister of India". Whether either of the two, or both in succession, would one day rule India is still in the womb of future but a question that can be asked and answered now is: "Should they, or any other Dalit leader rule India, now or in future? India being a democratic country with a multi-party system cannot bar a Dalit leader becoming the Prime Minister if his opr her party secures majority on its own strength, or with support of kindred parties but could the complexity of India's politics or economy be understood and mastered by a Dalit leader? In politics, education and coivil services, the Dalits are rising not on merit but by reservation. Until and unless the post of Prime Minister or any other top civilian post is also reserved for Dalits, no leader from them can or should occupy them. This Ms. Mayavati and Mr. LP Yadav will not like or agree with but the fact remains, proved by generationsd of experience, that daliyts are genetically weaker than non-Dalits. But, as it is said, nothing is impossible in politics. who had ever thought, not even Ms. Mayavati herself perhaps, that her party BSP would sweep like this a State election and she herself would be catapulted to the top executive post in India's largest and politically most decisive State. Bandana Ray Camp: Singapore
Mayawati is correc when she says that that ideology of BSP is acceptable to many who believe in social harmoney. It is acceptable to all those who dislike secterain thinking as well as Feudalism reperesented by parties like SP and Congress.
But BSP can only increase it's support base if keep herself away from the apeasement policy and persue the policy of Justice for Everbody and Appeasement of None.
Firstly the development of the UP, without any caste, creed or religion, is must. Free education, employment without money, increase infrastructure and distribution system etc. Because you have got the vote from all category of poor people like Muslims, Upper caste and Lower caste etc.
If you aim to Centre, the fate will be the same of Sharat Pawar, Laloo Prasad Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav.
